Sure, let's talk about "Trudeau Derangement Syndrome."
I will point out simply that the two most recent Trudeau-related incidents that drove the Canadian Right-Wing-o-Sphere absolutely batshit crazy with murderous rage were:- Trudeau sings at piano bar.
- Trudeau goes bungee jumping.
That is all.

"Trudeau Derangement Syndrome." is the perfect example of what happens when you mix a steady diet of Conservative propaganda and the failure of a proper education that should have included "critical thinking".
I don't understand why this faux-outrage gets amplified so much and the logic of the hate.
It's not like these nuffies were asking why is Skippy not marching for Iran (or something) and why does an elected MP want an illegal overthrown of the Gov...
Derangement Syndrome is a right wing tool invented during the Bush the Lesser era - but there’s a significant difference in how it’s used.
The right wing uses it almost exclusively to attack and diminish the person - so they basically go after anything that the person does - whether that’s spending time with their family, or being seen “blowing off steam” in some way. The goal is simple - to foment hatred of the person.
The left wing - when accused of “derangement syndrome” has almost always been calling out the corruption and evil of the policies of the man. Bush was never a terribly smart person, and I always thought that the worst of the evils he endorsed were the fabrications of those who surrounded him. Trump, is also not very smart, but more dangerously actually thinks he is smart - and his ideas _are_ evil.
The left wing needs to figure out how to translate their understanding of what the increasingly fascist RW is truly representing.
Clarification to my last comment - “Left Wing” here means anyone left of the fascist cliff that conservative politics has gone charging off.
MgS: Is critical thinking still taught as a stand alone course in Canadian high schools? It used to be decades ago.
It's difficult to bring logic and analysis to bear in debates with people who have little or no understanding of what those skills are for.
MgS, let's not minimize Bush the Lesser's crimes. He authorized torture, and he is on record as saying that he'd do it again. The man is Evil, through and through, and if there was any justice, he'd spend the rest of his life rotting away in a jail cell.
By no means do I see what I said as minimizing what Bush did. The man was an evil idiot - but a lot of what he did I’m also quite certain was engineered by the even more evil turds around him - and his stupidity meant that he had neither the wits or moral compass to understand what they were doing until it was too late.
