Saying the quiet part out loud.

It's so refreshing to see right-wingers who have, for decades, done everything possible to undermine Canada's public health care system now complain about how broken it is, then openly call for it to be privatized:

It's almost like this was their plan all along.

Every Canadian has access to private health care, they can go to the US. They don't actually want to pay for private health care, they just want to pay enough to jump the line ahead of other Canadians

I note that the Rebel's Drea Humphries, quite possibly the dimmest bulb in the entire Rebel inventory, will now be hosting her very own "prepper" survivalist show. The trailer portrays her clambering dramatically through the bush in a fetching purple Hillary-Clinton style pantsuit and dress shoes. I can't wait.

All of our parties seem to put health care at a lower priority than tax-cuts, corporate profits and imperialist wars. Oh yeah, and multi-billion annual subsidies to already profitable fossil fuels companies.

My wife has a small fitness studio that is close to a hospital and she gets a lot of medical worker clients. A number of surgeons and doctors have left our province because of how the government handled Covid - they feel disrespected and not valued or listened to. However what surprised me most was a number of doctors that do surgeries have left specifically because the government kept cutting their operating room hours. They had the time and desire to do more surgeries but were specifically told no, they are going to do less. Wel he never the media talks about wait times, the public hears from gvowtnement “doing all they can” and nursing shortages, it we never seem to hear from doctors much. And certainly not that government is specifically creating shortages not just by budget cuts but by dramatic cuts to operating room hours and availability. And yes, then they use wait times that never go down no matter how much they *checks notes* “look for efficiencies” to privatize. The people are being lied to and scammed by government (and we all know which ones) who are not being honest about what is happening, what they are doing, or their motivations.
