TUPOC's Diane Nolan: Melting down in a big way.

Paraphrasing from yet another of my confidential informants:

I just watched "The United People of Canada" director Diane Nolan raving on Facebook for 27 minutes - right out of control and way beyond the usual dramatics of a religious ecstatic.

That org she's the Canadian director of - Power Ministries International - has this mission called "Church Planting" where they take over existing churches and rework them according to some nutter end times philosophy.

I'm guessing Nolan thought this would be her big break to do that at St Brigid's and it's slipping away now and she's really freaking out and I fear this could end badly.

What does Nolan expect when she defies the clearly expressed will of Gawd:

The women should keep silent in the churches. For they are not permitted to speak, but should be in submission, as the Law also says. 1 Corinthians 14:34

I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet. 1 Timothy 2:12

There’s some serious fervour going on there - and it won’t end well.

I hope that the police are aware of this nonsense and plan accordingly - these clowns are winding themselves up, and unless they flee before midnight (because one of the more intelligent types inside actually grabs the microphone {Intelligent is relative here}), the Bailiff is well and truly f***ed.

Fuck me, that's triggering. Reminds me of the evangelical church I went to back in the 90s. So much "spiritual warfare" bullshit that was crazy but not as extreme as this white supremacist, christian nationalist rhetoric. These peoples' religion is further away from more of Jesus' teachings than Anton LaVey's Church Of Satan ever was.
Remember a few years ago when right-wingers were claiming that Islam "is not a religion, but a political ideology" in order to justify denying Muslims religious protection under the law? Yet another example that every accusation from conservatives is actually a confession.
Not today, Jesus.
