The United People of Canada: Plus ca change, here we go again.

5:30 AM update: Drive-by shows little activity, other than a small group of diehards still hanging out in the parking lot. The word "pathetic" seems inadequate.

And in a totally unsurprising turn of events, a Freedom Convoy-affiliated front group has dug in here in Ottawa and may need police intervention to physically remove them. No, really, stop me if you've heard this before.

As of 3 a.m. this morning, there is a moderately sizable group of "FREEDOM! HONK HONK!!" dingbats hunkered down in the St. Brigid's parking lot, with a definite vibe of "Let them try to take our toaster strudels" about them:

In unrelated news, (Grift) Queen of Canada Sheila Gunn Reid and her doe-eyed acolyte barrister Sarah Miller have announced that they need a minimum of $68,500 in order to draft and hand-deliver a human rights complaint to the United Nations on behalf of TUPOC, and this will require spending at least a week in Switzerland as it turns out you just can't do Geneva in a day.

P.S. If shit starts to go down fer realz, drop me a comment as I am only a few minutes away and it would be my honour to drive by and honk in celebration as the bailiff is loading their shuffleboard table and Nespresso machine into a pickup truck.

Honk, honk.

BONUS TRACK: If the TUPOC yobs knew they were in imminent danger of eviction for non-payment of rent, that would so explain their desperate (and misleading) plea for a bag of cash on the "Liberty Planet" website:

I believe we are now fully into the "find out" phase.

I wonder just what the bailiff will in fact find when emptying out TUPoC’s possessions from St. Brigid’s …

This isn't the same kind of embassy as the Bohemian Embassy, once a coffee shop in Toronto and now a condo development there, is it?

What happened to their primary financier?
The guy who was in fact the source of all their "grassroots" funding?
