And Benny he's really mean
They're wearing Prada shoes
All their illicit screws
You know I read it in a magazine oh, oh
Buh buh buh Benny & the Gents
Here we see a row of gowned men, apparently all called Bob, introducing themselves to the objet du fluff. Seems the cassocked crusaders just can't keep it in their pant... um, up their skirts... well, you know what I mean. Turns out the Pope's palace is popping with papal perps petting paid players to practice poking not prayers.
The Vatican was today rocked by a sex scandal reaching into Pope Benedict's household after a chorister was sacked for allegedly procuring male prostitutes for a papal gentleman-in-waiting.
Angelo Balducci, a Gentleman of His Holiness, was caught by police on a wiretap allegedly negotiating with Thomas Chinedu Ehiem, a 29-year-old Vatican chorister, over the specific physical details of men he wanted brought to him. Transcripts in the possession of the Guardian suggest that numerous men may have been procured for Balducci, at least one of whom was studying for the priesthood.
I guess that makes Benny the Rat the real King of Queens. Well, I'll call this progress. If nothing else, at least the "Gentleman in Waiting" was getting it on with adults. Makes a nice change from the less consensual fun these freaks often seem to prefer. Nice that they decided to fire the poor nobody that was running errands for Balducci, the Gentleman of His Holiness instead of the guy paying for gentlemen's holes. Alright. Ew.

You didn't use the word "catamite." You should have used the word "catamite."
Although I'm completely unsurprised by this, it's always tawdrier than I imagine. Given the nature of my imagination, that's no small feat.
Here I am thinking the clerics and laymen in the Vatican are engaging in furtive trysts in various historical alcoves, porticos and anti-chambers, only to find out they're engaging pimps to procure escorts for them.
Gay choirmasters are an American thing; Europe has straight choirmasters. Whiskey Fire explains it all, but you have to read through to the bottom half of the post. http://whiskeyfire.typepad.com/whiskey_fire/2010/03/pokerfaced-before-bingo.html
Sorry, it's in the comments. Second last comment, to be exact. http://whiskeyfire.typepad.com/whiskey_fire/2010/03/pokerfaced-before-bingo.html
These distinctions are important, I agree. It's like that with anything cultural. The New World is philistine.
I care not that the Gentlemen of the Vatican are having sex with prostitutes. I mean, really. People just need to grow up and be secular humanists.
