You're spending a cool half-mil of my money on WHAT?

Um ... OK:

Cannabis smokers have a seven-fold schizophrenia risk

WINNIPEG – The Harper government is putting up $550,000 to gather research on marijuana use and mental illness.

The Schizophrenia Society of Canada will use the money to further research the links between cannabis and early psychosis as well as develop promotional materials warning youth about the dangers of smoking pot.

Sure, that makes sense. What could possibly go wrong?

Oh.

Your Reform Party Of Canada. Can we just get back to calling them that? Please?

hmmm...money researching the effects a mind altering drug might have to benifit people affected with mental ilness... but you're fine with safe injection sites in Vancouver deep in the heart of Liberal Senator Larry Campbells old mayorial riding...not double standard here...move along, move along...

not the casual users; they need to "be taken out and shot."

i was going to point out to ed that a proper study must be conducted by people who have no predisposition or bias in the matter, but, considering his own painfully obvious predispositions and biases....

what?

"considering his own painfully obvious predispositions and biases...."

You can't finish a sentence or back it up with anything either?

The rest of us knew where KEvron was going with that, MrEd. We don't need to be spoonfed.

even ed understands the logical conclusion. he's just pretending he doesn't.

I can easily assume where you think you were headed with the comment, but unlike you I don't intend to make assumptions on your behalf... that could imply there's some form of understandable logic in the thinking process on this site... and to assume anything is a double sided sword... something I can clearly see you and your groupies don't understand

MrEd makes reference to to Sen. Campbell's 'old mayorial riding'.

Don't know whether MrEd is a Vancouver resident or not, but I am a resident of Vancouver. There is no such thing as a 'mayorial riding' in Vancouver. Ditto for councillors or aldermen. Vancouver has no ward or precinct system. It's all at-large.

Puts anything else MrEd has to say in a questionable light.

interesting fact that ... Senator Campbell who was in fact the former Mayor of Vancouver...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Larry_Campbell

Campbell was elected in 2002 under the banner of the left-wing Coalition of Progressive Electors party. He was the city's first mayor to be elected from the party.

Much of Campbell's success with voters was attributed to his charismatic personalty and colorful background. As the city's former chief coroner, his life inspired a popular drama on the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) called Da Vinci's Inquest (later followed by a spin-off, Da Vinci's City Hall).

Fitting a Coroner should be one of the Liberals last senator appointments
