My clinic startled me when they changed their appointment procedure last year -- no appointment farther away than 3 days. These days I can get in within 24 hours if I have to.
I had to wait a chunk of time -- about 6 mo -- for a carpal tunnel release. But I had had the condition for more than 12 years, and the specialist is an artist, he did lovely work. I'll approach him to do the other hand next year.
We do have to pay for our prescriptions, by and large. But Health Canada negotiates those prices and keeps them reasonably low.
I just hate seeing my American friends being robbed the way they are, and even worse, inducing them to protect the miserable system that cheats them. It's just sad.

Yay! Thanks for posting this!
I was white-knuckling it through the whole clip, worrying that one them would blurt out about the death panels. Thank God.
...Oops.
I LOVE how some of them got visibly annoyed at those questions:
"Yes, I can choose my own doctor!"
Hilarious.

Noni
