All the news that's fit to misrepresent.

Canada's Bestest Blogger is all about the millions and millions of wingnuts:

How big was the rally? They forced the New York Times to report it, that's how big.

And then there's the ugly reality:

ABC News Was Misquoted on Crowd Size
ABC News Reported D.C. Rally Size in Tens of Thousands, Not 1M to 1.5M as Activist Said.

Matt Kibbe, president of FreedomWorks, the group that organized the event, said on stage at the rally Saturday that ABC News was reporting that 1 million to 1.5 million people were in attendance.

At no time did ABC News, or its affiliates, report a number anywhere near as large. ABCNews.com reported an approximate figure of 60,000 to 70,000 protesters, attributed to the Washington, D.C., fire department. In its reports, ABC News Radio described the crowd as "tens of thousands." ...

As a result of Kibbe's erroneous attribution, several bloggers and commenters repeated the misinformation.

Not all bloggers, of course ... just the really, really stupid ones.

WHAT'S AN ORDER OF MAGNITUDE BETWEEN WINGNUTS? So, Brenda, how many wingnuts were there?

The media can't adjust to the fact that the internet is immediate, with facebook and youtube, they can not distort the facts anymore. They look like idiots saying that thousands attended, when anyone watching online could see that it was more like 100,000 to 200,000 people.

So, Brenda, how many wingnuts were there?

Unbelievable how the MSM ignored over a million people.

Check back tomorrow when Brenda pulls another number out of her ass.

AFTERSNARK: Josh brings the funny.

You must admit though that it was a pretty big white supremacist rally.

Yes, yes. There are lots of stupid people in the United States. So?

It's worse than just stupidity. Read this.

I'd feel sorry for them if only they didn't all believe that being propagandised is the most sophisticated manifestation of liberty. I mean, how forgivable can they be if they don't even understand what freedom means anymore?

The really funny part is, the Pride March in the same city got a quarter of a million people, which is more than three times the size of the wingnutters' party.

wv: losors (I may laugh myself sick!)

It's such a crazy point. Lots of nutters marched in an anti-universal-healthcare campaign and the media either did or didn't record the exact number of nutters. I mean, WTF?! I don't really care if Americans have universal healthcare or not but why some Canadians don't want them to is pretty twisted.
