You have GOT to be fucking kidding.

You are absolutely not going to believe this, which takes us here, where irredeemably useless CPoC shill and Stephen Harper fluffer Sandy Crux has added the re-patriation of Suaad Hagi Mohamud as an official Harper Government "accomplishment" and part of his "record."

Words fail me. They just fucking fail me.

So, I guess when the Chalk River facility goes back online, Stephen Harper will be credited with "Saving Canadian Lives!" God bless him.

I tried to comment at Sandy's accomplishment blog, but when I submitted it, the following message popped up:

"UNACCEPTABLE OPINION REJECTED! PLEASE REMAIN WERE YOU ARE. THE AUTHORITIES HAVE BEEN ALERTED."

"WERE"? Did it actually say "WERE"? Priceless.

Yes, it did!

Too funny. I saw this story reported on CNN over the weekend. They were quite clear about the government's extremely unhelpful role in the affair. Some "accomplishment"...

If Shaidle wants to update Tyranny of Nice, I suggest she turn her attention to the type of "Conservative" niceness that is the modus operandi of propagandists like Sandy Crux, as demonstrated in this comment at her blog:

Well, it seems that this blog has hit a nerve — given the nasty comments not worth approving. Good!

That's so stunningly passive aggressive. Why even mention the comments you didn't approve?

For the record, I didn't post anything there. Her lies are so complex it's impossible to be anything other than nasty.

Southern Quebec said...

Wow! Have all the Blogging Tories gone on comment moderation?

Cretins...everyone...

Renee said...

They have to moderate! Lefties are MEAN, what with their self-righteous presentation of their so-called "reality-based" facts.

Ti-Guy said...

We swear too though. Fucking prigs like Sandy Crux do have a point when it comes to that.

It doesn't matter how civil or polite you are — if you disagree, then it's considered "nasty" commentary and therefore not worthy of being allowed to see the light of day. God forbid you actually present contradictory FACTS — they're most unwelcome at Sandy's Propaganda Shack & Bullshit Emporium.

Besides, what's the point? She'll probably just trash the whole post in a week and then republish again.

Renee said...

Oooh, Ti-Guy said "fuck." Which is clearly sufficient reason to discount everything he's ever said.

I just friggin' speechless:

Criticism of the Canadian government
Sampson has repeatedly criticised the Canadian government for its actions during his incarceration. Sampson states that his torturers were present at every meeting he had with Canadian diplomats and government representatives, who never insisted they leave and indeed accepted the Saudis' claims of Sampson's guilt, despite the lack of evidence, inconsistencies, and the statements to the contrary by Sampson and his supporters. He also alleges that he repeatedly informed embassy officials and Canadian medical professionals that he was being tortured, but to no avail.

Credible allegations that [Sampson] was tortured while in detention and forced to confess to a crime he very likely did not commit remain uninvestigated [by Canadian authorities].

Mike said...

bocanut seems to be under the impression we are criticizing because its the CPC.

Hot flash from the news room, we are criticism because its wrong. It was wrong when the Libs did it with Sampson its wrong now.

You would think that

(a) The Cons don't want to be seen acting just like the Libs

(b) The Cons would have learned from the experience of the Libs in government over this (an effort THEY spearheaded back then, I might add) and not make the same stupid mistakes.

(c) Both.

So while the Cons where up in arms over Sampson, they don't seem to give a shit about Suaad Mohamud.

Now, what is the difference between these two people?

Thanks, boco, for proving CC's point.

Mike said...

You might also notice boco, that even the most sychophant Liberal shill isn't going around touting the handling of Sampson's case as an accomplishment of the Chretien government.

Sweet jeebus you really are that stupid...

bocanut said...

So, when CC's says this is all about Conservative on Brown racism why isn't the Sampson a Liberal on White case of racism?
There are plenty of so-called accomplishments touted by Chretien that are suspect, but that's politics.

um boca, you realize how daft you look right? i mean, you do realize that you haven't presented a cogent argument, made a crucial point or debunked any opposing positions. and really, the adscam scandal has had every last scintilla of potency wrung out of it. the only scandals attached to a canadian government now are harper's. and just for the sake of comedy, you do realize that KEvron isn't a canadian, right. he doesn't give a fuck about some greedy liberal party douchebags from five governments ago.

maybe you should head on over to granny crux's hermetically sealed jingo parlour for some warm milk and a lozenge. perhaps you just need a hobby, have you considered taking up crochet? you could make little, tiny booties and mitts for kathy schaidle or something useful.

So , it's OK to say that Harper will take credit for Gay Pride parade support, but it's not OK to bring up ADSCAM.
It's OK to allege Conservative on Brown racism but not OK to allege Liberal on White racism.
Just checking.
OK?

There are those peculiar terms again, Pokaroo. Flesh it out for us please. If your terminology is bonafide, please explain. What is Liberal on White Racism? What is Conservative on Brown Racism? Is it like who's on first?

Lindsay Stewart said...

cripes boca, you are one stupid bugger. you can mention adscam until your head drops off. here, i'll give you a head start... adscamadscamadscamadscamadscam!!!

that's 5 adscams with three, count 'em, three exclamation points. thing is, adscam is neither relevant nor powerful, that teat has been milked dry. old news. done and gone. impotent. limper than jason kenney. flaccid. get it? here have another... ADSCAM

all - caps for you that time. and it isn't stupid enough that you're mindlessly pulling a string expecting a kite to appear, the reference makes no fucking sense you twit. if the liberal's sycophants were sneaking around adscam and trying to portray it as a good thing for quebec businessmen, you might have a point. but you don't.

and yes, it is okay to point at the pattern of behaviour in more than one, more than two, more than three cases of the conservatives stranding canadians of colour abroad. canadian followers of islam are being denied their rights, having their citizenship summarily questioned. encouraging foreign governments to detain and prosecute them, the conservative government is obstructing their rights. smacks of something funny, what's the word... oh yeah, racism.

now, go look at the liberal caucus, mostly old white guys, not much different from the conservatives in most respects. now try and portray all them white guys as anti-caucasian bigots. keep pulling that string, let us know when that kite takes flight. dimwit.

Your fearless leader here claims that Suaad Hagi Mohamud is a victim of Conservative on Brown racism.
I claim that the Sampson case was Liberal on White racism.
That's shouldn't be too hard for you to understand.

One blogger here posts that Harper will take credit for Conservatives sponsoring the Toronto Gay Pride parade.

Chretien actually used Canadian unity as an excuse for ADSCAM.

Draw whatever conclusion you wish ,but ADSCAM is alive and well in the minds of Canadian voters and will be until the Liberals start paying back the millions they stole from Canadian taxpayers.

Seems like you Liberals are still a touch sensitive on the ADSCAM subject.

Re: "Your fearless leader here claims that Suaad Hagi Mohamud is a victim of Conservative on Brown racism. I claim that the Sampson case was Liberal on White racism."

Actually both claims are yours with your bizarre coinage of terms: "Conservative on Brown" and "Liberal On White" racism. Still sounds like a game of twister to me.

Re: "That's [sic] shouldn't be too hard for you to understand."

This is not an explanation, sorry. It gets you nowhere. Make equivalencies between Pride and Adscam all you want. Your little purse is full of wooden nickels.

liberal supporter said...

Chretien actually used Canadian unity as an excuse for ADSCAM.
No, Canadian unity was the reason for the Sponsorship programme. It worked. Quebec is still here. They paid off the best ad agencies in Quebec, depriving the separatists of advertising. You do understand advertising works, don't you? Otherwise why do you circumvent the Elections Act by running numerous attack ads outside of election periods. Plus there's all the circumvention by abuse of the 10 percenters.

Adscam was some of those ad agencies making donations to the Quebec wing of the Liberal party. The money was paid back.

Where are these other millions you allege? Well, first let's hear the latest talking point of how much money. Because it changes every time some CPC shill trots out the story. Please contact BT Central and get the latest invented number.

You'd think with the CPC in government for nearly 4 years, they would have found out about the alleged millions stolen. The Liberals under Martin paid back $1.4 million that had been improperly diverted. Though Harper thought there was more back in 2006, he has yet to find it.

Where's the proof? Still waiting. Meanwhile, the CPC continues to deny anything wrong with "in and out", though it is clearly a breach of the Elections Act.

Seems like you Liberals are still a touch sensitive on the ADSCAM subject.
Fuck off with your passive aggressive bullshit, moron. You forgot to mention how you must have "struck a nerve". Please report to BT Central, Waterboarding Division so you can be retrained in the current talking points.

The reality is you're only projecting your own "sensitivity" about the fact that you are not what Canada wants or needs. You just don't like the fact we won't let you have a majority.

Now answer: When will the CPC pay back the millions stolen in the in-and-out scam?

ricky said...

Of course these last 30 comments have a lot to do with Suaad Hagi Mohamud. sheesh

Lindsay Stewart said...

awright. let's play a round of boca style made up stuff. hows about... conservatives are soft on terror. not only are they soft on terror, they support it around the world with weapons, training and money. this will remain undeniably true until the corpse of ronald reagan retrieves the weapons he gave the evil iranians, the very same regime that held americans hostage. he gave the baddest of the bad guys all sorts of weapons so he could fund an illegal and secret war in central america, supporting yet another bunch of village killing crazies. and that after being expressly told by congress not to get america involved in nicaragua and the region.

and let's not forget the still animate corpse of donald rumsfeld, infamous purveyor of weapons of mass destruction cutting deals with saddam over a smile and a handshake. hell some of those self same arms were used against american forces in gulf war 1.

then there's those scary guys in afghanistan, the taliban. and their evil buddy bin laden that nobody seems too interested in capturing. back in conservative icon, ronald reagan's day they were heroic freedom fighter called the mujahidin. they got to visit the white house and got tons of moral support and yet more cash and armaments from st.ronnie and conservative meddlers. and once again, western conservatives provided guns that get turned on us.

before he got around to trying to fix elections, obstructing investigations, having the police raid his party headquarters, lying about deficits, calling snap elections to cover his tracks, suspending parliament out of fear of fair play, using taxpayer money to subvert parliamentary communications and mail privileges to run smear campaigns ol' steve wanted to get us into the illegal invasion business. and i have to wonder is it because conservatives are evil, stupid or just greedy.

Lindsay Stewart said...

as for the white and brown of things. there is what appears to be an established pattern of bad acts by the conservative government of steve harper against canadian citizens of non-european descent. the conservatives have gone to court to fight against canadian citizens of middle eastern extraction being treated fairly under the rule of law. they have actively and energetically obstructed these persons receiving the just treatment and advocacy that our citizenship warrants.

when in doubt trust occam, why does the conservative government repeatedly abandon dark skinned, muslim, canadian citizens? what's the common thread?

and where is the pattern of liberal governments treating whites in similar disregard? there is no such pattern is there boca? nope. because you're pulling a bad argument out of your rear.

Zorpheous said...

Hey Bocanut,

As for the millionz of dollars you claim the Liberals owe us, ok. Sure can you actually show on paper what the liberals owe? I seem to remember Hemroid Harper claim several years ago that he was going to chase down every last dollar once he got elected,... we are still waiting for that Economic accounting from our Chief Economist.

Time to put up or shut up Boconutz. Tell us and show your work, how much money does the liberal party owe from AdScam

Zorpheous said...

I guess we'll be waiting for the Boconutz Accounting as long as we have been waiting for from Harper, eh?

Guilty plea in federal sponsorship scandal

"Updated Wed. Jun. 3 2009 12:30 PM ET

ctvmontreal.ca

MONTREAL -- Former federal Liberal executive Benoit Corbeil is the first political figure to plead guilty in the federal sponsorship scandal and he's suggesting he might name other figures involved in his influence-peddling plot.

Corbeil entered pleas to fraud and influence peddling during an appearance Wednesday morning at the Montreal courthouse. A third charge of conspiracy was stayed.

The influence peddling happened while Corbeil was a Liberal organizer in 1997 and he engaged in fraud while serving as director of the Liberal party's Quebec wing in 2000.

Blowing the whistle?

A judge ordered a pre-sentencing report for early September. The Crown wants Corbeil to do jail time but Corbeil's lawyer says he should stay out of jail because he never made a penny from the fraudulent transactions.

However, Corbeil says he will reveal who profited from the scam, suggesting more names will come out in connection with the scandal that helped to bring down Paul Martin's minority Liberal government in 2006."

Patience my friend, all will be revealed.
