Yes, Mike, those two situations are exactly the same.

Blogging Tory Mike McGuire asks where were we on the Left when countless lefties were marching in the streets, howling that Bush should be killed and openly and proudly bringing automatic weapons to Bush's public appearances? Oh, wait ... that never happened.

But perhaps in the same vein, one might ask where was Mike's outrage when Bush opponents were being harassed, arrested and jailed for the most inconsequential slights?

Your turn, Mike.

Hilarious photoshop. Even more hilarious if it's not.

I suppose it's possible that Conservatives have convinced themselves that there's some sort of equivalence between the gun nut reaction to Obama and the Left's reaction to Bush.

They are pretty desperate.

One thing not mentioned in this post: what protesters were reacting to.

On one hand, a few years ago, people took to the streets in protest to the U.S. invasion and occupation of a country that posed no direct threat to the U.S.

On the other hand, we have this year's howls of outrage over proposals to see that poor people can get health care.

Only a complete moron would think the two are comparable. Only a raving lunatic would think health care is more Nazi-like than invasion and occupation of a country.
