Canada's racist whingers: Come on down, Sassylassie!

If one frequents the comment forums of the Canadian MSM, one can't help but run across one "Sassylassie," one of the most dishonest and racist loons imaginable. Here's Sassy, the first commenter on this article, bouncing back and forth between hopelessly ignorant and despicably dishonest:

You are correct we want answers, why are people being granted refugee status from countries they later go on vacation to or open business in? I thought refugees flee war torn oppressed areas not vacation in said countries whilst opening up clothing stores. Not to many Cubian refugees holidaying in Cuba, same for the Polish and Russian refugees of lore.

In the first place (and as one commenter points out), Mohamud is a native Somalian and all of this happened in Kenya, which makes Sassy look at least a little like an uneducated twit. Sassy then goes on to yammer about "refugees," although it's not clear what that has to do with Mohamud:

When her parents arranged her marriage to a Somalian who had emigrated to Canada, Mohamud took it in stride. She had dreamed of living in Canada.

“Even when I was a little girl, I fell in love with Canada,” she said. “Whenever I would see the flag, deep inside I was having the feeling one day I will go there.”

In Toronto, she took a sewing course and beautician training. In 2006, she got the warehouse job she has today. She still dreams about going to school for fashion design but she's hardly bitter.

“I'm doing well.”

In short, Mohamud didn't arrive in Canada as a "refugee," but such distinctions never seem to make a difference to overt bigots like Sassylassie, who has a well-deserved reputation by this time for lying about, well, pretty much everything.

Canada's whingers: Stupid beyond belief, and not afraid to advertise it.

AND SHE'S NOT THE ONLY ONE
: You really need to read that entire comments section, in which Conservative of Convenience (when it suits him) "Raphael Alexander" tries to pass himself off as a beacon of logic and moderation. Here's commenter "RogersJi," getting it hopelessly wrong:

The women traveled into a foreign country with a passport picture that didn't look like her. She should have know this and had it fixed before she went. Canada would accept the picture but Kenya didn't, her fault.

Do I seriously need to explain what's so stunningly fucked up with that claim? Is being depressingly ignorant about everything a pre-requisite for being a conservative these days?

I've always suspected that Sassy is a 300 lb manly woman that has a lingering odor of left out salad.

SassyLassie and her sidekick kat26 were posting on a NationalToast article earlier in the week. They are quite the pair of racists...and proud of it.

My bet is that SassyLassie is Canada's Littlest Racist...

I find it amusing that "Raphael" hasn't demanded that Sassylassie comment under her real name. If I recall correctly, Raphae's a huge fan of people being personally accountable for what they write.

Well, other people, anyway. Not him.

I guess RogersJi doesn't realize what kind of shithole he would find himself in if he doctored his own passport. Then again the blogging tories are still having trouble getting wrapped around the Maury Povich concept of dna tests so Im not surprised.

Disclosure, not related in any way, shape or form to Sassylassie. Now I know what it might have been like to be a kid growing up in the 50's with the name Hitler, ugh.

I'm trying to think of something insightful to say, but all I can think of is...euthanasia.

I'm becoming a very bad person, but honestly, will this stuff ever end? The Right becomes more primitive with each revelation of how badly this approach has failed it.

They're the same people who justify Conservative government intrusions into citizens' private lives with the statist pronouncement, "If you don't have anything to hide"... Conservative government supporters should be required to undergo regular strip searches wherever they go by burly Muslims in turbans or whatever their worst nightmare is to teach them a lesson in civil liberties.

It's the Sikhs who wear turbans you....racist!!

What I love is that htey seem to think that it's her fault that the photo was like it was.

I know this is hard for htem to remember but here goes:

A representative of the Canadian Government took that photo, looked at it and said "yes, this photo meets current passport requirements as set out by various branches of the Canadian government"...

It's not like she issued herself a passport.

Our latest passport photos were borderline and it wasn't sure they were going to be accepted, but they lightened them up during scanning/production and all was good. I look about two or three shades darker than I am....
