Knuckledraggers of Delisle: The Kate McMillan Chronicles.

Good Lord, but The Pustulent One is just a bottomless pit of grist for the mill these days. Here, we have Kate so predictably dredging up Democratic Senator Robert Byrd's long-disavowed, KKK-related past, while misrepresenting the news entirely:

Oh, dear ... apparently, the Congressional Black Caucus are a bunch of Indian-hating racists, is that it? Hey, here's a thought: let's follow that link, where we learn that Kate has linked, not to a credible news piece, but to fellow troglodyte Don Surber, who is himself a screeching whackjob.

But let's keep going with those links, which finally take us to ... oh:

The dispute between the [Congressional Black Caucus] and the Cherokee Nation arose last year after the tribe amended its constitution to exclude the Freedmen — a group of freed slaves who have been members since the Civil-War era – from tribal membership. Black lawmakers have charged the tribe is ignoring the Treaty of 1866, an agreement the Cherokees signed with the U.S. government that gave tribal citizenship to the Freedmen.

“We must send the unequivocal message to the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma that failure to provide full citizenship rights to the Cherokee Freedmen will have severe consequences,” CBC members wrote Reid.

So the CBC has taken the position that no federal funds should go to an organization that has stripped blacks of membership, in violation of a federal treaty that goes back over 140 years. Why, the nerve. I'll bet Kate feels really stupid now.

I have no punchline.

P.S. Yo, Lance! How's it hangin', buddy?

Here's some background for ya. You might also want to pick up the book Red on Black: Black Slavery among the Cherokee Indians. There just might be a little bit of grievance mongering going on here, which, of course, leftards are all too happy to endorse. What do you do, though, when both parties are heavily invested in grievance mongering?

Thank you, Louise, and while all of that might be useful and enlightening information, it doesn't quite address the basic issue of this post, does it?

The basic issue was that Kate implied that the Democrats were motivated by simple racism when, in fact, there were deeper issues, weren't there? And that's what made Kate's post so dishonest.

If you wish, we can certainly dig deeper, but none of that will negate the fact that Kate is, as usual, a lying hack.

But thanks for stopping by.
