"But... but ... but ... Bill Clinton!"

Via Joe at AB, we learn that there is one set of laws for normal people, and another set for the neo-cons:

A House panel has cleared the way for contempt proceedings against former White House counsel Harriet Miers.

Miers today obeyed an order from President Bush and did not appear at a House Judiciary subcommittee hearing. Miers had been subpoenaed to testify about the firing of 8 federal prosecutors.

And, remember, as Joe points out, this flagrant contempt of the judicial system is from someone who had been nominated for a position on the U.S. Supreme Court.

Given how the Blogging Tories are never too busy to tell us about Bill Clinton and Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid, I'm sure they'll be all over this story in short order. Yessir, in short order.

I say hold her in contempt of Congress. Yeah it's a negligible fine and only a year in prison. But that'll give Bush someone else to pardon/commute which will dig him further into the hole.

Eventually someone in the House will grow a set and start impeachment proceedings.

What you seem to be missing is that some people are SAVED and some ARE NOT. And you kow who's SAVED and who isn't.

You don't need to control people who love Jesus because they are righteous. And if they ever act unrighteously, they immediately apply to Jesus for forgiveness alá Sen. Vinton, who, for starters, is not even accused of any unnatural couplings, LIKE CLINTON. (We know Sen. Vinton coupled according to the law of nature because, according to Mark Kleiman, there is issue, currently living with his or her mother in Arlington, VA.)

You do need to control the people who do not love Jesus.

You, CC, are the HEATHEN who RAGES AGAINST THE NEO-CONMEN, forgetting all the while that the NEO-CONMEN ARE SAVED!

So of course there are different rules for different folks.
