Nice family you got there ...
CC NEWS -- As a way of defeating Prime Minister Stephen Harper's plan to stack the Senate with Conservatives in order to push through his legislation unopposed, blogger Robert McClelland has proposed to lobby other senators to cross the floor and join the Liberals.
When told of this possibility, Harper dismissed it by saying that, if that happened, he would simply have the first floor-crossing Senator and his entire family taken out and executed on the front lawn of Parliament as a warning to the rest of them.
When told that was probably illegal, Harper shot back, "Yeah? And what's the Supreme Court going to do about it? I know where they live, too."
When asked his opinion of Harper's plan, Blogging Tory co-founder Stephen Taylor looked briefly thoughtful, then opined that, as long as the Senator being executed was a socialist or a separatist, he didn't really see a problem.

He was likely thinking of this Conservative's blogger gem:
The ability of the woman to satisfy a man sexually is absolutely primary. It is job #1.....But over the long haul – especially if there is going to be a long haul – satisfying your man sexually is the job. Because if that is working out, everything else is working out. Sex life is the measure of the relationship.
So, if I read that correctly, to your typical conservative man, a woman is not a person, she's just, well, a c...
That's some pretty serious irony there, wouldn't you say?
He thinks he's Big Daddy from "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof". Except Big Daddy put it the other way around - correctly.
hehe. you made a funny. :)
ah... but what if the PM appoints an extra eight senators under Section 26 to give him an a Senate majority.
It would mean a lot more executions I suppose ;)
@BB
Well it'd help if said PM hadn't spent his entire career complaining about how undemocratic the Senate is and how he'd never stoop so low, etc.
