Via Sean in Saskatchewan, we find Canadian right-wing hero John Manley straying badly off the reservation:
Manley says peace can only be achieved with some Taliban co-operation, telling MPs "this insurgency unless it's the first one ever will not end via military success. It will end because of a political agreement that will resolve some of the issues that are there."
One can only imagine the cognitive dissonance as Canada's wankers who ridiculed Jack Layton's suggestions and adore Manley's utterly bogus report on Afghanistan now work very hard to not notice Manley's embarrassing new position.
This should be fun. We'll check in now and then and let you know how it's going.
AFTERSNARK: The pre-emptive strike. Did you really expect anything different?

Curses. John Manley is beginning to sound like that Liberal with a capital L Tony Blair and his scheme to tidy things up in the North of Ireland. And the day before St. Patrick's Day,no less. When will they learn?
Doesn't that make him a traitor or something?
Why, yes!
