Teabagger-Canadians protesting a conservative government? Somehow I don't think this movement will have the same cachet as it does for Teabagger-Americans.

But it's still a gift to the gods of snark.

Um. Given that Canada didn't have a Boston Tea Party, why would something called a "tea party" in this country have the kind of political or symbolic resonance they're hoping for?

"Only in Canada" would resonate much better, at least with Canadians old enough to remember the Red Rose Tea ads, and the Wayne and Shuster skit.

Heh, if you google "Canadian Tea Party" and click on the top hit, you get a video of 3 old bears (the human kind) in the shower. I wonder how many wingnuts clicked on that link.

Come to think of it, I wonder how many of them bookmarked it.
