The entertainment value should be off the scale.

True to form, Blogging Tory Maria ("Dodo") S. rummages through Sarah Palin's laundry hamper for some used underwear to worship:

Sarah Palin's [sic] chooses Hong Kong for her first international speaking engagement

CLSA which is Asia's leading brokerage and investment group has invited Palin to be one of their keynote speakers at their forthcoming forum and according to .Washington Wire services, Palin has accepted.

“As the first female governor of Alaska and the youngest person ever elected governor of that state, Palin has broken new ground in U.S. politics and we are delighted that she will make her first visit to Asia to present at the CLSA Investors’ Forum,” CLSA Chairman and CEO Jonathan Slone said in Monday’s news release.

Sure, and why not? What could possibly go wrong?

Oh, dear:

Hong Kong Broker Pulling A "Borat" On Sarah Palin

Hopefully Sarah Palin realizes she's been invited to Hong Kong almost certainly as a practical joke.

CLSA, the Asia-focused broker who invited Mrs. Palin as keynote speaker for an Asian investment conference, is well known for their cheeky takes on investment research.

In the past, they've polled Asian fortune tellers for index targets, hired anime cartoonists to draw Japanese research, and generally love to push the boundaries between entertainment and analysis. They are a real research firm, it's just that they love to sprinkle in some hilarity every now and then as a smart marketing gimmick.

Sarah Palin is this year's big laugh for them.

Please, dear God, let there be video.

Please god, let there be a DVD. A collectir's edition 4-disc set with bonus never-before-seen footage.

Xmas shopping: done.

A figure of speech, no doubt.

If there were a god, this would be an awesome way for it to prove its existence.

Followed by a Palin/Limbaugh ticket in 2012. Believe me, I'd be lighting candles, ringing bells, and slaughtering doves and goats non-stop if that were even close to being a possibility. Can't hurt.

I was sort of looking forward to Palin/Bachmann. That kind of crazy? WOW just WOW.

Sorry to get all mystical on the heathens, but some us of maintain that the justice that inevitably prevails, sooner or later, is proof of that.

Of course, the secular humanist argument of morality and justice being the inevitable result of our common solidarity works too. So, choose your side.

What I *do* reject is nihilism and excessive cynicism.

Sarah Palin is a profoundly dishonest person. She will never prevail.

On a related note, I hope everyone has seen this.

I think we can take it as an axiom that any stridently self-righteous person is at heart, a sexual obsessive.

The good and the bad all end up the same. This week I had to kill a good thing that loved me.

and to what do some of you attribute injustice?

The Devil.

I doubt that Sarah Palin will be much more than a minor footnote in history by next year even. Her fans are more deluded than she is.

Just in case, though, we should still think about building the wall, or rather, think about freaking out the Americans (which is laughably easy) so they build the wall themselves.

I'm waiting for the Mexicans to start building a wall to keep the frat boys out. That should confuse the toy soldiers.

I'd lay odds she doesn't show up in Hong Kong and even argues that she was never actually booked and, by golly, didn't even know about it.
