In the Dilbert book "The Way of the Weasel," Pointy-Haired Boss (PHB) attempts to offer some friendly criticism to the merciless Webmistress Ming (WMM) ... with unfortunate consequences:
PHB: "Ming, everyone says our web site is ugly."
WMM: "Really? Every person on earth said that? Even Tibetan monks?"
PHB: "Maybe it was just one person."
WMM: "And you confused him with the entire planet?"
Which brings us to shrieking wankers like Blogging Tory "Conservative Queen," who seems to have confused her immediate circle of friends with the entire population of Canada:
All Canadians Suffer when the Order of Canada Inducts Undeserving People like Henry Morgentaler
Um ... no, Queenie. As did Dilbert's Pointy-Haired Boss, you have sadly mistaken your importance in the grand scheme of things. Yes, there are certainly people whose meaningless, pathetic and fetus-obsessed lives have been devastated beyond redemption, and while many of us are actually enjoying their abject misery, they really aren't that big a deal in the big picture.
Unfortunately, Queenie's hysterics know no bounds as she continues to mistake herself for a sovereign nation:
The decision announced yesterday to induct Henry Morgentaler into the Order of Canada has completely debased and devalued the entire system because his so-called "contributions" do not warrant official state recognition.
Once again, Queenie, you are making the mistake of taking your opinion, and thinking it equals that of Canada. And not only is that a fearsome intellectual brain fart, but as JJ points out, in a recent online poll, a majority of Canadians who responded actually approved of Morgentaler receiving that honour.
So, no, Queenie -- Canada will not crumble and fall simply because you are an addle-pated fuckwit who's really pissed off at the moment. Some people will be hacked off by this recent development, just as others will be celebrating. And life will go on and Canada will survive and, if we're really, really lucky, batshit-crazy retards like you will eventually get over yourselves.
We can only hope.
