As I recall, something similar happened when Paul Martin became PM; in Sheila Copp's old riding, for example, a lot of new Liberal voters were actually Conservatives who switched just in time to ditch her re-nomination. That's unless I'm remembering it wrong.

Yeahbut, unlike elsewhere, none of us believes our process for establishing candidates is democratic, much less moral.
