So Matt Drudge wasn't available?

Blogging Tory and clearly conflicted right-wing gay Fred blithely dismisses climate change because, well, because Boston Globe columnist Jeff Jacoby says so. Excuse me? Oh, I'm sorry, how rude of me ... this Jeff Jacoby.

Tune in tomorrow when Fred reassures us how well things are going in Iraq, according to noted military expert Ann Coulter.

BONUS TRACK: Some TBogg-flavoured Jeff Jacoby wingnutty, crunchy goodness. Leave a link to your favourite Jeff Jacoby towel snap in the comments section. I'm sure Fred will be by later to check things out, and accuse me of being obsessively concerned with his corner of the blogosphere. I mean, it is his turn, isn't it?

Jeff Jacoby: "The science of climate change is still young and unsettled. Years of trial and error are still to come. Al Gore notwithstanding, the debate is hardly over."

What a terrible thing to say. What a dope. A maroon. A nincompoop. How dare he?

Praise Gaia.

From Jacoby, top of a list of "serious" 'skeptics':
Fred Singer, the former director of the U.S. Weather Satellite Service

And so he was, from 1962-1964. Somewhat more recently, he created a 'policy project', to argue that the Earth isn't warming, that CFC's don't destroy the atmosphere, and that UV-B doesn't cause skin cancer. He also found time to report that second-hand tobacco smoke isn't dangerous.

Not that this implies he's for sale or anything; I'd hate to ruin a good argument from authority.

Sorry for the "lookism," but Christ almighty... Fred? 200 cc's of "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" for Jeff Jacoby, stat!

...he worked a miracle on ol' Ezra, after all.
