Mmmmmmmmmm ... crow.

And now that the police have finally come clean and admitted -- as we've been claiming all along -- that those were undercover cops at Montebello, you'd think that there are a whole truckload of folks who should be coming forward quietly, hat in hand and eyes downcast, to deliver a sincere and heartfelt apology for being the smug, sanctimonious, dismissive, ignorant, little pissant motherfuckers that they were.

Why, we could start with some of the commenters from this one Blogging Tory post alone:

Yaknow… with very few exceptions the simplest explaination for something is usually correct. In this case which makes more sense? The police went out of their way to aggrivate… themselves… so that they can tear gas protesters just for kicks and get the pure joy of hours of arms discharge paperwork and post-event meetings? Or that there were a couple of idiots who decided to use the protests as an excuse to be complete morons (gee THAT never happens does it?)?

The short guy looks native to me…up from Caledonia for the day? What a pathetic demo…about 20 people? Yeah, an agent provocateur…dream on pal…

# kursk on August 21st, 2007 6:55 pm

Oh for Christ sakes…agent provocateurs..where in hell do these ancient hippies get the idea that they warrant such actions?

Coles is a drooling moonbat…

“Protesters are accusing police of using undercover agents to provoke violent confrontations…”

That’s rich, given that most of the protestors at these summits are for-hire, professional “undercover” provocateurs par excellence.

If anything can be called the pot calling the kettle black this is it…

Give me a break.

What? The protesters can’t even recognize their own cohorts?

Since they did not get the number of protesters they expected, they’ve found another way to get media attention. What makes it worse is that there were no arrests that they could boast about. Tsk, tsk.

I guess the protest pay isn’t as good as it used to be.

# kursk on August 21st, 2007 9:57 pm

Agent provocateurs..hmmm..like misguided lefties who carry Hezbollah flags? Or go to anti-poverty rallys with communist era banners?…or those who bring marbles and calthrops to screw over mounted police, or those who bring water guns filled with vinegar..?

You mean those types of people who want to stir up trouble? on purpose like?

# jhuck on August 22nd, 2007 8:59 am

So, um, the three didn’t seem to do anything(except one had a rock in his hand) other than get yelled at by other protestors, and they didn’t get arrested.

Google it. For the first time in history, fire melted…. oops… I mean, people avoided being arrested for not doing anything. Yeah, must be a conspiracy.

I like how the old guy continued to stamp his feet and cry, “This is OUR line! This is OUR line, not yours!” He then took the ball from the other kids and went home.

I admit it..i have lived my life as an agent provocateur (now really, who the hell uses that term anyways, besides neo marxists?..)

I am really a filthy hippy who pretended to join the military, serve my country, get wounded (faked that..) decorated twice, (made of tinfoil..)

Had two fake children, my wife is really a blow up doll, don’t have a good job, and really waste all my time hanging out on Cecil st. reading marxist propoganda..

*shudder*

I wake up, thoroughly refreshed that it really did happen, and that i am a healthy productive member of my community, have gorgeous kids and a beautiful wife…

I am not a ‘provocateur’ thank god, after all..

# jhuck on August 22nd, 2007 10:14 am

Who gives a shit if they were cops? “Bait cars” and undercover cops buying drugs from dealers…. are those now some evil conspiracy? If they were actually cops they deserve scorn, not for their intent, but for getting caught.

That’s if they were, of course. Unlike some, I don’t automatically jump to the most pessimistic conclusion without first having proof. And giving an example of what happened to “another protester” is far from proof, even if you really, really want it to be.

I’m late to this party, but it sure sounds and looks like a dog chasing it’s tail! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Let's get out those apologies, shall we? The line forms on the left. No pushing.

BONUS DUMBASS WINGNUTTERY: If you have the stomach for it, check out some of the wingnut comments here. And remember ... some of these folks could be your neighbours. Creepy, isn't it?

Well you see, yesterday it didn't matter because it was a conspiracy theory. Today it doesn't matter because... uh... hey, look over there!

*Ugh*...What a collection of neanderthals. One of the provocateurs looked native? Uh, no Kursk. A lot of French-Canadians look like that. You'd know that if you left your mother's basement every once in while.

So...naturally, these guys won't mind at ALL if we send infiltrators into their meetings, yes? 'Cause it's a Great Thing To Do, and hurrah!

Hypocrites. It's only okay when they do it.

They have no concept of democracy at all. It's all "our side is right so we can treat everyone who isn't us exactly as we please and they can shut up about it if they know what's good for 'em."
