As hard as it may be to believe, Blogging Tory Brian Lemon has managed to unearth a co-blogger who's even more of a vacuous airhead than he is:
Dinning- he has got his money. Got stuck in the system and the cheque is in the mail.
That's a good little steno, Mary. Don't stop now. Hey, I know -- while Lincoln Dinning is still mourning the loss of his son, let's subtlely suggest he's a liar:
Dinning still claims he sent letters, but offers no proof.
Here's a thought, Mary -- let's let Google do the work, shall we? And from the very first link:
Dinning just released the three three letters he sent to the military — on Aug. 25, 2006, on Dec. 1, 2006, and again on April 25, 2007 — and supporting invoices.
And in a final display of eye-rolling classlessness, Mary figures she might as well try to make it political:
Just thought of something. Is this Dinning family any relation to the Jim Dinning (lib in conservative clothing) who lost to Ed Stelmach.
So, to recap, Mary is too fucking stupid to take 12 seconds to locate copies of the Dinning family letters online, but she'll still happily pull politically amusing conjecture out of her ass.
I'm starting to see her appeal, Brian -- she makes even you look intellectual by comparison.
BONUS AIRHEADITUDE: Commenter "kursk" at that article proves that, no, there is no bottom to that particular barrel:
I know nobody wants to her [sic] that the govt is stingy, ...
No, no ... please, don't go where I think you're going.
... and you cannot begrudge the dinnings their greif [sic], ...
I'm begging you, kursk, think about what you're about to write.
but where does it stop?
Please, for the love of God, for the last time, don't do it. Aw, crap ...
If 54 service men and women had their funerals covered as this family did, the govt of Canada would be paying over $1.25 million dollars.
Canada's wingnut-o-sphere -- because while they care deeply about the troops, well, come on, there's a limit.
In totally unrelated news, Canada's New Government allowed the United States to keep almost one billion dollars of illegally-collected softwood lumber duties because, well, they asked nicely, and it's what friends do for each other.

CC,
Bear in mind this is a blog that blogrolls the mindbogglingly deranged Werner Patels as a "ripping read". Even so, the level of stupid, which is at least neck-deep, wouldn't be so annoying if MaryT would learn to write in sentences instead of sounding like a wire reporter from the 1920s sending a story by telegraph. As for the factual content of her writings, I got as far as the notion that the "nonaligned" Marxist nations were buying gas masks for the G8 protestors before I started laughing out loud. I sometimes think there must be something in the water in Calgary, like lead or some kind of naturally occuring psilocybin spores to produce notions like Joe Clark was never a conservative and there has been no lack of action on AIDS in Africa, people just like to protest for its own sake or that the PM was set up by the family of a dead soldier (Yeah, they gave their son's life to make Steverino look bad...right)
Mary really has only two problems. They would be reasoning and the ability to express herself. Does she have an objection to question marks.
...if MaryT would learn to write in sentences instead of sounding like a wire reporter from the 1920s sending a story by telegraph.
Oh, freakin' right on, Rev. "DINNING HAS GOT HIS MONEY STOP GOT STUCK IN THE SYSTEM STOP CHEQUE IN MAIL STOP"
Actually, I think that tripe would be even easier to read that way. As it is, on Sucky Lemons, it's almost incomprehensible.
LOL, Lemons must have scraped her off the sole of somebody's cowboy boot over at SDA. Mary has a vast reservoir of stupidity -- last year during the SWC cuts she said that feminism was to blame for the mass murders of women (ie. Lepine) - it was so offensive that Scott Tribe asked Kate to remove the post.

Yeah, Mary. Mary will be good material.
Rev. - You nailed it: psilocybin spores. That explains the creationism 'museum'.
Oh, I agree; rip this hag to shreds. Normally I'm deferential to dottering old sacks like Mary, but frankly, since they're infecting a younger generation of impressionable people with their bitterness (brought on by a life characterised by ignorance and haughty judgmentalism) instead of having the grace and good sense to share valuable insight born out of the wisdom one only achieves through experience (and that often includes shutting up), then she gets everything she's got coming to her. Why should the rest of us suffer because MaryT didn't do the one thing the rest of us are expected to do in life? Namely, to grow up?
That comment on SDA was disgusting.
