Whatever will Patsy Pantload say about this?

Remember Ed Snell, boys and girls? He of the platform-on-top-of-his-car so he could scream obscenities proselytize to women entering a free clinic from behind an 8-foot privacy fence? Looks like he finally had his day in court ... or not.

A Dauphin County district judge dismissed felony assault charges this morning against a Juniata County man who's accused of pushing an anti-abortion protester off his car Dec. 22 at the Hillcrest Women's Medical Center in Harrisburg.

Judge Barbara Pianka threw out the aggravated assault charge, but Nathan Richardson, 23, of Port Royal, still faces misdemeanor counts of simple assault and reckless endangerment.

According to Harrisburg police, protester Ed Snell was standing on a platform attached to the roof of his car--allowing him to see over an 8-foot fence--when he began speaking to Richardson and his girlfriend who were entering the clinic around 7 a.m.

Police said Richardson became enraged at Snell's comments, scaled the fence and pushed the 69-year-old Susquehanna Twp. resident off his car, causing him to hit his head on the pavement.

One wonders just what Mr. Snell said that so provoked Mr. Richardson. One wonders, indeed.

H/T to that fabulous unrepentant hippie JJ who, as always, is alllllllllll over this.

LOL, great minds think alike. I almost put that at the end of my post -- "Cue outrage from Patrick".

Obviously he'll say that a bunch of liberal baby murders got to the judge and replaced his brain with folgers crystals.

Obviously it's all a liberal conspiracy!

Patrick needs a tissue, he's at my place positively weeping for what passes for progressive political thought.

Now he knows how I feel when I see what passes for "conservative" thought these days.

Hmmmmm.

Well, one can't help but remember your approval of threatening people with guns for the "heinous crime" of pointing out the fact that there does, indeed, remain a debate regarding abortion.

Alright Patrick, that's it. Stand up so I can get a clear shot ;) <--(see the winkie? That was a joke.)

Seriously Patrick, nobody threatened you with a gun. Get over it.

Speaking of italicised facts:

There does, indeed, remain a debate about whether the black man is capable of functioning in civil society.

There does, indeed, remain a debate about whether laws should be subject to a narrow interpretation of Christian values espoused by self-appointed experts, or not.

There does, indeed, remain a debate about whether the earth is four billion or six thousand years old.

And there does, indeed, remain a debate about whether that earth is roughly sperical, or roughly disc-shaped (or a cube!).

But in all those debates, one side is educated, informed, and sane. The other is a pile of drooling, reactionary retards who would prefer some old stuff--written down by people who didn't understand the mechanics of rainfall--to actually thinking for themselves for a change.

Guess which side you're on in the abortion debate, Pat?

This is Twatrick's fundamental flaw in terms of intellectual discourse -- the instant he starts getting his ass kicked in a discussion, he changes the subject, then proclaims victory.

In the case of Ed Snell, there was no gun involved, but notice how quickly Twatrick drags one into the conversation, as if it's somehow relevant.

Really, we should all be used to it by now.

P.S. Oh, and his annoying tendency to just plain make shit up. That's kind of grating, too.

Jesus, JJ, is he still on that old nut? What a paranoid nut.

CC, its making shit up. A long time ago, over at JJ place, I made it abundantly clear that I would defend the rights of my wife and daughter to control their own bodies, by force of arms if needed. I pointed to the cute little "I'm pro choice and I shoot back" pic JJ has on her blog.

Somehow Patsy took that as being a personal threat to him, rather than a promise to defend my wife, daughter and friends from those that would try to enslave them. What a jackass. I suspect he is purposely misconstruing this, because he has nothing else.

Quotation marks actually have meaning, right?

Breaking news: I've been deleted from the Nexus of Assholery blogroll. :( Deleted -- when I didn't even know I was on it!

Why, Patrick, why??

Puh. What a bunch of feeble-minded twits.

Not only was the largely meaningless reduction of charges previously addressed, but I have never before, in my life, heard such a load of nonsense.

First off, you have Cynic -- who consummately refuses to participate in honest debate in any forum trying to give lectures on debate technique that, quite frankly, all too often look like he's talking more about himself than anyone else.

All while indulging himself in his personal fantasies. What a maroon.

Then you have everyone's favourite pitiful excuse for a specimen of manhood on here basically saying "well, I can't deny that I threatened him with a gun, but I think that was a-OK".

Meanwhile, the most sensational claim made about those who have the audacity to suggest that the host of this site should put his money where his mouth is, show some courage and accept responsibility for his comments is, "oh, they just want to see violence done against him!"

Yet, it's somehow perfectly acceptable to punt a 69-year-old man off the roof of a car for disagreeing with you.

The hypocrisy and the cowardice is palpable. It doesn't matter what you have to say about it.

Now you're talkin'.

I'm going out right now to find one. That is, if I can find one who's standing on the roof of his car screaming invective outside a women's clinic. I won't push him, though -- I'll use him for target practice.

Yeehaw! Dance, grandpa, dance!

Patrick, the ability to be in WAY THE FUCK OVER YOUR HEAD and not have even the foggiest clue must be a great comfort. I'm happy for you.

I assume that is for me. I never threatened you with a gun, Patsy. I made it clear in no uncertain terms that anyone trying to take away the right to bodily integrity of my wife, daughter or friends would be resisted by any means necessary. And if that means using a gun so be it. It was not directed at you ion particular, unless you are planning to use force to tell my wife, daughter or friends what they can do with their bodies. It was a promise to defend them against aggression, not a threat to initiate it. Mind your own business and everything will be fine.

But whatever, you are just going to plug your ears and pretend I said something I didn't no matter what I say here.

Snell got what he deserved. Like I said at JJ's, I would have kicked him in the nuts a few times while he was down. It would have been worth it.

Is that to violent? Is that not the 'kumbya' leftism you come to expect? To fucking bad. Get used it, this is the real world son, not some god-forsaken blog a the University of Calgary. Go clutch your pearls elsewhere.

I swear this guy's starting to seem like the text version of a Charlie Brown adult character.

Tell ya what Patsy, when I'm 69 I'm gonna come roll up to your house in a cherry picker with a bullhorn and go to town.
