Apparently, CBC's Carol Off is the Sheila Gunn Reid of Laura Loomers.

Really? Seriously?

Please, God, just make it stop.

When I first saw the clip, I seriously thought I was listening to a Rebel interviewer.

"Some people are saying that... There are many people saying that..."

I see Joly hasn't taken Psaki 101 yet. The answer to those questions is always, "Who said that? Please be specific." That's when the reporter answers, "Pierre Poilievre" or "Ezra Levant," and the whole world knows whose water they're carrying. Freeland was once a reporter, she should have made Dhanraj pay dearly for that question.

She sort of did, responding pointedly that "the only person I've heard say that is YOU", then moving on to a well-packaged defense.
Not CBC's finest hour.

What was the question, anyway?

The CBC are taxpayer funded. Can't they at least hire real journalists and not people like Carol Off?

Why do the PM, deputy PM and minister of foreign affairs need to be in Europe when there are a lot of domestic issues at home and some people view this as a photo-op trip to Europe? Blah, blah, blah, taxpayer money, blah, blah...

Kinda like asking Churchill if he thought going to Yalta was the wisest use of his time when there were important domestic issues the opposition wanted to discuss.

I stopped listening to As It Happens after Carol Off backed professional screamer, climate change denier Ezra Levant in 2016. She interviewed a UN rep for COP 22 at the time, grilled him. Rebel wanted to go and the UN rep had rejected the application. I think they sent poor under-qualified SGR who reported on waste baskets. But the program's "droll" tone kind of got on my nerves anyway.
