The increasing awfulness of Sheila Gunn Reid.

As much as I would like to move on to some subject other than the utter shittiness of Rebel News' Sheila Gunn Reid as both a journalist and a human being, once again, she manages to outdo herself related to the same beatdown she's been getting at this humble blog lately.

Even after I eviscerated her nonsense related to the allegedly mask exempt Wendy Kirkland of Woodstock, New Brunswick, Gunn Reid continues to ride that Sybian, as recently as just yesterday (May 28):

But if you look closely at that recent reference to Gunn Reid's tedious dishonesty, you'll notice that something's changed. Something's different from her earlier demented screeching, and I'm going to give you a couple minutes to figure out what it is, because it's important. So take a minute, peruse the above and see if you can spot the change.

And there it is -- what's missing is Gunn Reid's claim that not only did Kirkland have a mask exemption, but that she was not obligated to produce it for anyone. Note well how Gunn Reid is no longer mentioning that second part, and that's kinda important because it is the fundamental underpinning for this entire grift.

That Kirkland was under no legal obligation to prove her exemption to anyone is the entire basis of Gunn Reid's illiterate bloviating, as without that basis, there is simply no story here. Every part of this idiocy -- and I mean every part -- hinges on Kirkland's insistence (and Gunn Reid's subsequent gullible repetition) that no one in New Brunswick need prove they have a medical exemption, a claim I have already fed through a woodchipper thusly:

Interestingly, then, while Gunn Reid continues to (without any proof) claim that Kirkland has/had a medical mask exemption, since she apparently finally realized she can't maintain the fiction of not needing to prove it to anyone, she has quietly dropped her demented, hysterical, spittle-flecked yowling about it. Gunn Reid's problem, however, is that without that nonsense as the foundation for her sanctimonious hysteria, she quite simply has no story. Even if Kirkland had a mask exemption (more on that shortly), if she was legally required to produce it and she refused, then she's fucked, and oil patch screech harpy Gunn Reid has no story, which would explain why that part of Gunn Reid's braying is, oddly, no longer a part of the coverage:

Which means there is no story. But we're not quite done here.

As I already pointed out, Kirkland's alleged mask exemption (miraculously available to an incompetent hack like Gunn Reid but not to service providers or law enforcement) is clearly dated Dec 7, 2020 -- six days after the confrontation:

What's funnier about that alleged exemption certificate is that, as an eagle-eyed commenter just pointed out, it misspells the word "exemption." It would be irresponsible to speculate how that came about (*cough* Rebel News office Inkjet *cough*).

In any event, if Gunn Reid could see her way clear to not be an even awfuler journalist and person for just a few days, maybe I could move on to something else. Like maybe how awful David Menzies is or something.

I am not optimistic.
