Be careful what you wish for …

Stuart Shephard, Director of Digital Media for James Dobson’s mouthbreathing whackos Focus on the Family, encourages people to "pray for rain" during Obama’s outdoor acceptance speech in Denver.

I’m pretty sure this wasn’t what Shephard was expecting from his magical sky-being.

And they say God doesn't have a sense of humour.

Would it be wrong to pray for rain?
And God always decides...

Yes, Sky Daddy God hates you...
Now "Fuck Off" and go molest some children...

The CNN video is "unavailable". I'm assuming it's of NOLA.

The Xcel Energy Center is in St. Paul. I think the CCN guy is probably talking about how the Republican National Convention has been constructively rained-out by Gustav, since the goppers believe it would be counterproductive to let Americans see them partying while New Orleans sinks again.

Three other things:

1. You can't blame the Bush Administration or the gop for all these hurricanes; they're no one's fault. And furthermore, global warming doesn't have a thing to do with Gustav.

2. The St. John & Sarah Show has moved down south to share in Gustav's glow. They're not there to get in the way; they're there to kick ass and take names in case anyone doesn't give 110%. St. John is probably going to give his acceptance speech from New Orleans, or what's left of it.

3. Canada was ready to help with Katrina, but Canadian rescue workers were denied entry into the US by the Bush Administration. If Big Daddy were to lead another pack of Canadian rescue workers down south, this time Dear Leader would welcome him. That way, Big Daddy could drop the writ from New Orleans, thereby demonstrating how much he cares (but please don't get the impression that Big Daddy does everything his new hero Sr. John does.)

That's odd, Red -- the video works fine for me. It's actually Ed Henry talking about the Republicans trying to figure out what to do while Hurricane Gustav steals the limelight from their national convention ;-)

"political quagmire" because plane tickets are bought, and hotels booked? Does CNN even know what they are talking about? No.
