Once upon a time, Canada's Blogging Tories were very upset to learn that CBC reporter Krista Erickson provided questions to a Member of Parliament related to an Ethics Committee hearing. Very upset, indeed.
Uh oh ...
Consider, for example, the case of MP Raymond Chan, who recently faced local accusations he hadn't been on top of a Japanese community issue in his Vancouver-area riding.
After the former Liberal Cabinet minister called a news conference to explain himself, an official with Public Safety Minister Stockwell Day's office slipped local Asian media a list of embarrassing questions on Mr. Chan's behavior (with the correct answers helpfully included in brackets). Some of the less-than-diligent news-hounds obliged by firing a few of the government-scripted questions at Mr. Chan.
That's different, of course. It always is.

Well ... duh, CC.
IOKIYABT.
Is she still sleeping with that old geezer Conservative MP from Alberta?
So Chan, who is Chinese, is supposed to be somehow more in tune with the Japanese community than if the MP was some white guy?
I guess Stock thinks so. After all, they all look alike, right?
But but but Bill Clinton, I mean Jean Chretien....
