Have I mentioned how much I love this guy?

Imagine my delight when I found out that the Huckster is still in the race and, more importantly, making with the crazy as only he can.

Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee on Monday endorsed a proposed Colorado Human Life Amendment that would define personhood as a fertilized egg. The former Arkansas governor and Baptist minister also supports a human-life amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

Huckabee spoke favorably about the Colorado ballot initiative, sponsored by 20-year-old Kristi Burton and her Colorado for Equal Rights group, during his Friday visit to Colorado Springs. On Monday, Huckabee lent official support to the measure.

"This proposed constitutional amendment will define a person as a human being from the moment life begins at conception," Huckabee said in a statement. "With this amendment, Colorado has an opportunity to send a clear message that every human life has value," Huckabee said. "Passing this amendment will mean the people of Colorado will protect the sanctity of life from conception until natural death occurs."

Burton's initiative, if approved by voters in November, would extend state constitutional protections to every fertilized egg, guaranteeing the right to life, liberty, equality of justice and due process of law. Approval would lay the foundation for making abortion illegal in the state.

Mike Huckabee, boys and girls, 10 pounds of anti-choice, holy roller, wingnut stupid in a 5 pound bag.

How come this doesn't apply to men/boys whacking off? Aren't they technically killing millions? I'm so confused ...

Ummm.. so would all those natural miscarriages be reported as homicides? Would God get the death penalty for mass murder?

"Passing this amendment will mean the people of Colorado will protect the sanctity of life from conception until natural death occurs."

I thought all these folks were death penalty supporters. Doesn't this toss that out?

They'll need to subtract 9 months from the legal drinking and voting ages, yes? Surely people should get credit for time that they spent just chilling in the womb.

And that sort of makes me a Taurus.

Fucking Aquarians.

I'm an Aries myself ... whatever that means.

Does this mean if you knock a petri dish full of fertilized eggs on the floor, you would be charged as a mass murderer? Talk about tough on crime...

Actually astrology (the other science that should be taught if ID science is required) maintains that your sign is based on when you draw your first breath. That is the breath that you never completely exhale until you die.

The Implant Precedent:

Once State jurisdiction extends beyond your body surface to your body's interior, the State will assert its right to place rfid and other implants in you, and you will have no right to remove them. The precedent will be forcing you to maintain and nourish any deemed person that has been implanted within you.

The Roofies Law:

Considering that many right wingers would never reproduce without resorting to rape, this sort of law is just what they need for their continuance.

Even without rape, many right wingers are high functioning enough that they can maintain a facade of civility long enough (2 minutes on average) to perform the implanting. But maintaining said facade for a full nine months is unreasonable to expect of your typical right wing wanker.

I just can't get passed the fact that a Republican candidate for the presidency of the United States is floating such an absurd proposal.

Sure, it's fun to mock and even intellecually invigorating to have a discussion of the nature of personhood (although I really do believe that controversy is legally insoluble), but just the idea of Huckleberry even floating this is startling.

They really do need more political parties in which to quarantine these people. I thank God everyday for Christian Heritage and for our two (count 'em, two!) communist parties.

Tojoursdan - all those natural miscarriages might indeed have to be reported to the police within 12 hours. For real. There was a proposed law in Virginia for just that.

Man, the Netherlands is looking better all the time.

Six whole months AFTER birth to get rid of the little parasite before it is considered a human (or maybe they were just considering that). What could be better?

And as a liberal, I fully support it, right? Maybe I should be asking the agenda holders: the gays.

How does "Every Human Life has Value"
correlate with the US/Israeli practice of bombing and shooting civilians. Or is Human Life like currency and only some human currencies have enough value to matter?

Proposed law? In Communist Romania under dictator Ceaucescu, it was the law.

from an article:

In factories, women were rounded up for surprise gynecological exams. The government levied a special tax on childless couples and unmarried citizens over age 25. All miscarriages were investigated. Romania was, as one writer later put it, "an anti-abortion police state."

And they like to claim those Commies love the abortion cult of death. So the Retardicans have the "too liberal" McCain or the "too communist Huckabee".
