So if you think Der Rebel is going to step in and give you a hand with your Ottawa-related legal woes, well, maybe you should have read the fine print.
I'm just trying to be helpful.
P.S. If any of my readers know of someone who stupidly followed Ezra's advice and is subsequently looking at massive financial penalties or possibly the loss of their livelihood, by all means, let us know in the comments section, so we can express our profound sympathy by going "HONK HONK!!"
P.P.S. Oh, I almost forgot ... even with the above delightful restrictions as to who Rebel News is going to defend, keep in mind that they're not even promising to cover those people, as the application form for getting a free defence says only that you "may" get free legal representation:

This restriction is interesting if it's true, since most of the legal problems are with the truckers and others who occupied Ottawa, not with the people at the Coutts blockade. I remember that the Coutts blockade disbanded pretty quickly after there were some weapons charges, and there were hugs all around as those idiots finally went home, so it seems that all you'll find from Coutts is people who got tickets or something, not the really serious charges that were laid in Ottawa.
So it seems that Rebel raised hundreds of thousands to help truckers, but might just deal with minor offenses and tickets from Coutts, leaving all the Ottawa defendants to fend for themselves. What a moneymaker.
@Anonymous 8:58:
The Coutts blockade shutdown is a clear statement that the local RCMP detachment were just a little too cozy with the “protestors”.
Let’s not make the mistake of assuming that the people now facing weapons and conspiracy charges were the “only bad eggs in the basket”. I’m fairly certain that this goes all the way up to a certain rotund little turd of a Premier who currently resides in Edmonton.
It's interesting how Rebel News went from bragging about how much money their fundraisers had collected to listing only a goal of number of donors and how many donations had been made, so you have no idea how much money they've collected so they don't have to be accountable for it.
For the trucker lawyer thing, it looks like they've got almost 18,000 donors, so even if each of those donors gave a paltry $10, that would still be $180,000 to fight a bunch of parking tickets, and only in Alberta. That's quite the business model. There are some lawyers (and other people) getting really, really rich off of this.
