And here's where we juxtapose ...

Canada's "Law and Order, Hang Em High, Lock Em Up and Throw Away the Key" Blogging Tories would like to take a short break from bitching and moaning about the bleeding-heart, liberal criminal justice system and how criminals have too many rights, to bitch and moan about how some people are savagely deprived of their rights under the criminal justice system.

I guarantee we'll hear nothing but utter silence from the usual suspects.

I can't look at this stuff anymore. When they start bitching about the CBC in the same post in which a CBC investigation largely exonerates Jaffer with respect to his brush with the law, I just don't know what kind of people they are and start wondering if they really are a part of some sick psy-ops campaign to convince the rest of us that we're outnumbered by crazy people. Which we may in fact be, but I digress...

We're not outnumbered. It's just that the Conservatives have cornered the crazy-people market and they vote in lockstep.

I don't know. I know I shouldn't, but I tend to read at least five or six of the most recommended comments that follow each and every goddamn online article these days and practically everyone sounds loopy to some degree or another.

I can't bear to listen to the audience question/answer segment following most public speaking engagements. Circulating in public now subjects one to people having loud and indescribably inane conversations on their cellphones. Television has become almost entirely unwatchable and the less said about "elite" opinion, the better. The public figures I used to find credible sound demoralised and depressed these days if they haven't gone silent altogether. The ones who are still talking are frighteningly crazy. And Kathleen Parker just won a fucking Pulitzer!

...*sob*

The only people I'm finding remotely sane these days are the ones who can use all of this for comedic purposes. And that in itself is revealing.
