There’s a double standard though. A bunch of wacky over-religious christians do this, and people get offended. Yet there’s no equal response to radical muslims.
Radical Muslims would kill an Atheist on sight, yet you don’t see the lefty atheists bemoaning that.
Um ... but how would those "Radical Muslims" recognize us atheists if we're not wearing our big letter "A"? You might want to give that argument a bit more thought, AC. Seriously.

Good grief. I am a practising Christian and know that our history is much worse than anything the Muslims have done. Pick a continent and I can show you a genocide perpetuated by Christians.
Antarctica? Meh. Even if the Christians had managed to populate that continent, they'd have brought in slaves to do the work.
The only reason that African slavery isn't thought of much as a genocide was the endless supply of slaves Africa provided to replace those who had died.

Anyway, I am going to Sénégal, The Gambia and Guinea-Conakry this fall. One place I won't miss is the Door of No Return on Gorée Island.
Unless I'm mistaken, the Canadian Forces are half way round the world shooting Muslims. And don't get me started on what the Americans are doing to Muslims.

I don't complain about Muslims as much because they're not the ones who are in my face RIGHT NOW telling me I'm not allowed to fuck who I want, marry who I want, bear kids or not bear kids. It' wasn't a Muslim who told Atheist Rob Sherman "You have no right to be here". It wasn't a Muslim who bought his bomb making supplies in a Wal-Mart and then tried to blow up a women's clinic in Texas. It wasn't a Muslim who bombed the Centennial Olympic Park or blew up the Oklahoma Federal Building. It wasn't a Muslim who let the Gulf Coast drown or built a $300 million dollar bridge to nowhere in Alaska. It wasn't Muslims of high rank in the US Airforce and Army who were screaming at their subordinates that they had best convert. It wasn't Muslims blocking a Wiccan who died in the first Gulf war from having a pentacle on his memorial headstone at Arlington. It isn't Muslims who head across state lines to yell at people mourning the loss of their loved ones through bullhorns.
And it wasn't a Muslim who suspended Habeas Corpus or claimed some inherent right to torture people, kidnap and steal from people either.
All of these things were done by supposedly moral Christians living in the US. More of them happen every year. SOME Muslims abroad are whacked out nutjobs willing to kill everyone who disagrees with them. But so are some Christians.
I don't believe in any of their deities nor do I agree with their religions. But when it comes right down to it, radical Christians in this country are more of a direct threat to me, my family, my freedom and my welfare than all the radical Muslims in the world.
