Dear Dr. Laura: Shut the fuck up.

Seriously. Via ThinkProgress — hold your nose and start reading.

Today, right-wing radio host Dr. Laura Schlessinger appeared on NBC’s Today Show in a segment called “Why do men cheat?” Schlessinger argued that Gov. Eliot Spitzer (D) cheated because his wife failed to “make him feel like a man”:

When the wife does not focus in on the needs and the feelings — sexually, personally — to make him feel like a man, to make him feel like a success, to make him feel like her hero, he’s very susceptible to the charm of some other woman. […]

The cheating was his decision to repair what’s damaged and to feed himself where he’s starving. But yes, I hold women accountable for tossing out perfectly good men by not treating them with the love and kindness and respect and attention they need.

Riiiigghhtttttt. Spitzer couldn’t keep his pants zipped because his wife didn’t kiss his ass nearly enough and, therefore, starved him. Tune in next week when Dr. Laura blames rape victims for wearing make-up and short skirts like the cheap sluts they really are.

And considering this shining example of her alleged parenting skills, I’m thinking Dr. Laura should find a new line of work. What? I’m just sayin’ ...

Dear LuLu:

How dare you call into question Dr. L's qualifications as a parent? It's her qualifications as a daughter that we should be disparaging here.

Try to stay focused, sweetie.

I would be remiss ...

Now why am I not surprised to find out that the He-Man Woman Hater's Club aka Teh Politic thinks Dr. Laura is just a swell gal ...

Again, we ask...why does American media invite non-experts and outright frauds to share with us their opinion on issues? And, in respect to this case...the US is an awfully large country with a lot of people. I'm sure there must be hundreds of thousands of other, possibly better-informed gym teachers who can tell us why husbands cheat.

i quit a dentist because he would play ksfo (conservative talk radio) during business hours. as my schedule required that my appointmets be made for the late afternoon, i was continually treated to crocktor laura's shitty advice. finally, during one visit (my last with him), i'd asked that the station be changed in favor of some soft music. he explained that many of his patients preferred talk radio. on my way out, his assistant wanted to schedule my next appointment; i told her that the anguish of visiting the dentist was compounded by the agitation of having to endure talk radio diatribes, and i was out the door.

Dr. Laura means that if I get a PhD in Computer Science I can dispense bullshit psychological advice too!

Yay!

Dear Dried Up Ugly Right Wing Cunt:

Just because you have letters after or before your name does not make you qualified to do everything under the sun. Being a PHD in Physiology makes you qualified to tell me why my knee is growing out of the back of my calf. It does not qualify you to tell anyone how they should run their relationships, their lives, or their families any more than it qualifies you to re-wire my house.

So shut the fuck up.

It's odd that the first time the question of expertise came up was when I caught a clip from FoxNews and one of their token "reality-based" pundits was wondering why Michelle Malkin was always being invited to comment on the situation in Middle East.

It's really something to think about when you watch who's discussing what in the media.

Sheena, dearest, you have me. The quality of your pix is superior to mine.

Sheena and the Seer are obviously psychically connected... 5:07PM simultaneous slut post.

I just had the maturity to avoid such vulgar commentary...*preen preen*

In any case, had Dr. Laura been invited to comment on the pros and cons of Brazilian waxing, that would have been a different story...

Yes indeed, when left wing Canadians have a non-expert messiahof their very own.

Thank you so much for commenting on the topic at hand as aopposed to trying to hijack the thread like a good little troll, kai_wolf. That would have been just sooooo lacking in civility ...

Kai_Wolf only listens to Charles Adler, who, after smoking too much crack, was incensed when he heard, via Kate McMillan, that David Suzuki was invited by the Communist Broadcasting Corporation to give his opinion on Spitzer's infidelity.

Fuck, you're an idiot, Kai. And you go out of your way to show it. Now you know why I detest you.
