All the news that's fit to ignore.

News you will find over at Small Dead Brain Cells:

The US Army is is reaching recruiting goals again.

And the news you won't find:

The Army missed its recruiting goals in June for the second straight month, as rising casualties in Iraq and a strong economy at home kept the service from enlisting enough new soldiers, Pentagon officials said.

The Army fell more than 1,000 active duty recruits short of its June goal of 8,400, said a Pentagon official who spoke on condition of anonymity because the figures had not yet been formally released.

Canada's Lowest Common Denominatrix™: When you need an antidote to all that mainstream "liberal" bias, and you have no clue with the word "irony" really means.

Since he doesn't actually read the shit, er, links, you provide, you should tell thwap that you had to go back eleven months to find a story suitable for your rant about SDA. Fucking pathetic.

How sweet amosbsk! You remembered me! And, wonderfully enough, it appears that you and I have found something we agree on!

That smalldeadanimals is "shit"!

There's hope for you yet.

I think the point is more along the lines of SDA saying, "Hey--recruitment goals are being met right now!!" For what ends is anyones guess, though I'm thinking along the lines of "the war can't be that bad 'cause people are still signing up to fight in droves so take that you liberal pinheads".
And yet, when the recruitment goals aren't being met (which is most of the time since this war began), what do we hear from SDA??
Nada.
If you point to articles that reinforce your points and/or your worldview, then you *must* deal with articles that don't reinforce your points. At the very least, you should acknowledge when the situation changes.
If you don't, you're what we call in the business "hypocritical". (no surprise from SDA)
Thus endeth the lesson for the obtuse and addleminded.

Yes, and from that we can usually conclude that when SDA is silent on a hot topic, it's unfolding as an unmitigated disaster from the right's point of view.

It reminds me of 'Peanuts' (this is from memory from around 30 years ago) when Linus had a crush on his teacher, Miss Othmar.
For weeks, Linus would go on about how wonderful his teacher was, how great Miss Othmar was at everything, etc.
Then one day Lucy comes running up to Charlie Brown, "Miss Othmar says that little boys shouldn't walk around with security blankets! They should put them away and grow up!!"
"Oh nos!!" says Charlie Brown, "What's going to happen to Linus and his feelings towards Miss Othmar???"
Then you see Linus walking along, sucking his thumb and carrying his security blanket--"Miss Othmar? Who's Miss Othmar??"
Kinda sums this whole thing up, doesn't it?

Well, see, amosbsk, unlike the nimrods you hang out with, I trust my regular readers to be able to read the dates on the pieces I link to.

But, more to the point, what exactly is the shelf life on dumbassitude? After how much time am I not allowed to link to someone for the purpose of sheer ridicule?

Six months? Three months? One month? No, really, let's have a number, so I don't offend your delicate sensibilities again.

You would. The sentence is dumb, mindless, juvenile, and asinine.

Or as I like to say--"apropos"--it is a shitty blog, lacking in truth, integrity and significance.

CC, I think the statute for bringing up old stuff is probably at least a couple of Friedmans. You're still cool.
