Poor Monte: Still having trouble grokking that whole "new media" thing.

Blogging Tory and Kate McMillan groupie Monte Solberg thinks everyone wants to know about the British Open. Other BTers beg to differ:

Dear Monte Solberg

I think you have made a mistake, your blog isn't twitter. You are drowning out everyone's posts from page one of the BloggingTories. Please stop! Lot's of interesting posts are getting knocked off the front page. As of the time of this writing, you have 9 blog entries on page one.

In other news, you don't have to be an imbecile to be a Kate McMillan fan; it just makes it easier to blend in.

P.S. Dear RaR: When referring to the Blogging Tories aggregator front page, I would use the phrase "interesting posts" extremely sparingly. You don't want to devalue it completely, do you?

Blogging Tories: never missing an opportunity to stick a homophobic comment in the fray.

dBO: I don't think making a reference to "Gay and Right" Fred also wasting space is homophobic. It's simpler to just agree that, yes, Fred really is a waste of space, and leave it at that.

From our perspective, 'Gay and Right' is indeed a waste of blogging real estate, but from the Blogging Tories POV (which is really nasty and yucky and I try not to linger there more than necessary) he's, you know, like that. As far as the BTs are concerned, out of sight, out of mind.

That's probably intentional on Solberg's part. He's become rather embarrassed late. If I were a Bloggin' Toree, I'd do the same thing.

Methinks Monte fancies himself as a Canadian (but more right-wing) Andrew Sullivan. Numerous short posts in a day is Sullivan's style.

Of course, Sullivan would never associate himself with the likes of Dodo, KKKate or Fright Girl.

Ahhh... the best part of it is, "The Protection of The Hive".

We may be in the wrong tree, but we'll protect our Queen no matter what.

Drones don't get to do what they want. Go collect pollen. We'll make the honey and the specialists bees will protect "The Harper".

Leave it to the mudfortunate Dr. Roy to pipe in with, "I enjoy reading Monte's posts."

I bet Dr. Roy enjoys poking knitting needles into his eyes, too. It's pretty much the same thing.
