And another gullible buffoon goes into:
slavishly-obedient, right-wing stenographer mode:
Iraq Winnable
There is an interesting opinion piece in the local paper this morning, that suggest the war in Iraq may be winnable after all. It would seem that the surge is working. Time will tell.
And the perkily optimistic piece that KC refers to that gives him such cause for happy thinking? Oh, please ... like you had to ask?

I'd love one of these BTs to define terms like "winnable" and "victory." It would likely be completely impractical or the bar set so low as to make either expression wholly inappropriate.
Actually... any war is winnable as long as you're willing to pay the price to win.
Unfortunately since the Iraqi aren't just going to roll over for Bushco eventually it would require destroying every major city in Iraq with nuclear weapons and then using our ground and air forces to mop up the survivors. In short the price to 'win' the Iraq was is the extinction of the Iraqi as a people, the destruction of Iraq as a nation and the destruction of whatever freedom and democracy is actually left in America.
This is one of many reasons why those of us down here who aren't warmongering traitors want us gone from the Iraq completely - right fucking now.
