The madness of King Ezra.

As hard as it might be to believe, Ezra Levant just slipped a couple more cogs with this bit of idiocy:

I think I was unfair to Lori Andreachuk, the thug on the Alberta "human rights" commission who recently ordered a pastor to publicly renounce his religious faith.

Really, Ezra? And how on earth did she manage that trick? Oh ... she didn't. But while Ezra is lying about Andreachuk's ruling, you'll notice that it is critically important to post a picture of Andreachuk because ... because ... um ... actually, I'm not sure what value that brought to the discussion, unless it's just Ezra casually pointing out that he knows what Andreachuk looks like so she might want to tread a bit more carefully and not piss off Ezra any more because, well, you know, he knows what she looks like. If you catch my drift.

Is anyone else getting a bit creeped out by this?

BONUS TRACK: On the other hand, is anyone else amused by the thought of one batshit fucking crazy, right-wing whackjob accusing another right-wing whackjob of being an "anti-Christian bigot?" I don't think there's enough popcorn in the world to get comfortable for this one.

BUT WAIT! THERE'S MORE! It occurs to me that, hilariously, the monumentally bone-headed Ezra has opened himself up to a libel suit. Ezra quite clearly (as you can read above) accuses Andreachuk of forcing Christian lunatic and rancid bigot Stephen Boissoin to "publicly renounce his Christian faith."

As anyone who is not a addled dumbfuck will realize, Andreachuk ordered no such thing:

A former Red Deer pastor will appeal a human rights ruling ordering him to pay $7,000 in fines and write an apology for an anti-gay letter published in the Red Deer Advocate nearly six years ago.

The Alberta Human Rights and Citizenship Commission issued a written order on May 30. It stated that Stephen Boissoin and The Concerned Christian Coalition must pay former Red Deer school teacher Darren Lund $5,000 in damages.

Another $2,000 must be paid to Janelle Dodd, one of Lund’s witnesses who spoke at an earlier commission hearing.

You will search in vain for a reference to any forced renunciation of Boissoin's perverted Christian beliefs. Personally, if I were Andreachuk, I'd be looking for a good libel lawyer. Because if anyone deserves even more of a legal smackdown, it's that pompous, lying fuckwit, Ezra Levant.

P.S. Can I legally call Ezra a "pompous, lying fuckwit" and get away with it? Yeah, I'm sure I can. In Canada, truth is a defense, right?

Have been for a while now. There's something awfully unsettling about Levant's descent into libel and madness. Maybe someone should call in a social worker?

At least, why The Law Society of Alberta continues to be silent on the whole issue is a mystery to me.

Isn't it ironic that Ezra is defending Boission writing a hate-filled letter to the editor as 'free speech' while suing a former employee and a newspaper for writing a letter to the editor?

I guest 'that's different' - Ezra himself is not the subject of Boissoin's letter....

FWIW, Egale Canada didn't want Boissoin brought before the commission and is basically siding with Ezra on principle.

Of course, that doesn't change the fact that Ezra is a hypocrite.

Frankly, Ezra's starting to give hypocrisy a bad name.

Egale Canada didn't want Boissoin brought before the commission and is basically siding with Ezra on principle.

With time and cooler heads having prevailed, this looks measured. But when all the hatred was being ginned up against gays and lesbians over the SSM issue, the case against the raging pastor seemed more urgent.

It'll likely appear that way with regard to all the Islamophobes in the near future, who'll all just go back to hating Jews, blacks and the Irish.

Oh, goody. D'ya think they could finally finish off that little ethnic cleansing project in Nova Scotia while they're at it?
