Ezra Levant: Being a bloviating gasbag has its legal advantages?

While it's nice to see that Rebel News' Ezra Levant once again got spanked by the legal system:

one section of the ruling buried way down on p.21 is cause for more than a little concern:

Yes, that would be the trial judge, taking seriously Ezra's argument that, hey, everyone knows he's an irresponsible, sensationalistic, bombastic gasbag, with a penchant for deception and controversy, and the idea that the judge is clearly taking that into account in apparently reducing the damages award is more than a little creepy.
