And given time, the truth will out.

Apparently, there's something here after all. More after lunch. Because I really need some lunch.

P.S. Dear wanks: This is what's known as "following up" and "correcting the record." You should try it some time.

know what i say? "big fucking deal". it's an isolated incident which they're going to use to paint themselves as perennial victims. for each fetishist who points to this and says "see?! see?! i told you!", i'll point to the likes of eric rudolph and paul hill, and ask "huh? huh?!"

Well it appears the charges have been made public and the circumstances explained. Now the culprit will face his day in court and the victim can seek justice. I have next to no sympathy for Ed Snell. But violence is never a reasonable answer to an issue.

Snell and his ilk remain just this side of the law as they heap verbal assaults on women, their escorts and the staff of clinics. They routinely court arrest as a publicity tactic and cry to the rafters when that ambition is achieved. They antagonize anyone and everyone that has to deal with them and whine that they are ill served by the police. Given the sensitive nature of these issues and the vulnerability of the women he harasses, Snell's twenty year history of committing emotional violence was bound to turn around on him.

Hurling verbal abuse at people as they undergo some of the most stressful circumstances in their lives is not only cruel but unwise. Eventually someone will snap and someone else will be hurt. Snell runs with a crowd that can rationalize killing physicians and bombing clinics, harassing and abusing private citizens and they claim they act in righteousness. It is truly unfortunate that in a moment of stress, Mr. Richardson took the action that he did. It is unfortunate that Snell was seriously hurt. Perhaps he will reconsider his own emotionally violent behaviour during his recovery.

I found this earlier and sent off an email to the reporter in question. I pretty well figured that something had happened--just thought there might be another side or two, given the source.

There are two questions in my mind. First, police driving off after an alleged assault. I don't find the "simple assault summons" convincing, because the fellow took a pretty bad hit (although apparently he's OK now).

I'd also like to know how this young man managed to "scale" an eight-foot fence, land on the car and push Snell to the ground.

There's more to this, and I guess (if the reporter doesn't respond, ditto the police chief to whom I sent an email yesterday) we'll have to wait for the trial, if there is one.

One odd point, in conclusion. The police chief's last name is Keller. It is misspelled "Kellar" on assorted right-to-life sites. And the reporter misspells it the same way.

While I don't condone violence, I have a zero sympathy for Ed Snell and his "Culture of Life" fanatic supporters. These whackos have no problem justifying firebombing free clinics and killing abortion doctors and clinic escorts but they scream bloody blue murder about the "violence" on the Left in situations like this.

Give me a fucking break. As my grandmother would say, you reap what you sow. Now how's that for getting biblical on your ass?

BTW, happy new year, boss, where's my present? Gimme. Now.

i'll admit, i thought the story was bullshit, given the source (whitmore's lack of objectivity undermines his journalistic credibilty). even still, it's really a non-story; someone provoked someone else into shoving him. it's indicative of nothing, other than their need to portray themselves as victims.

And they will claim its all media bias to discredit Christians.

I say fuck 'em. I've got no sympathy at all and I'm surprised it doesn't happen more often. These groups have been trying to intimidate people using the threat of violence for years and with the advent of them using bombs and murder to push their agendas they are nothing more than terrorists. Personally I think people should start protesting outside their churches during services along with assholes like Fred Phelps.

Aw, shoot. It is "Kellar." The email provided by a helpful r-t-l fellow was misspelled. New message sent.

There were three terrorist attacks on clinics in the USA in December. I'm gonna have to put arson in the "Yeah, That's Important" column, and leave shoving a loudmouth asshole in the "Who Fucking Cares" column.

I kind of care, in that the situation could become ugly here as our own fetus-fetishists become emboldened, but this also could serve as a cautionary tale for them.

I doubt seriously the anti-choice protesters here can mount elaborate contraptions to circumvent whatever is in place to prevent them from harassing the clients. I haven't been down to the Scott Clinic lately (unwise, I know; I really am seriously overdue for an abortion), but the last I heard, the protesters have to keep well away from the clinic's entrance.

Hmm lets see...the clinic puts up an eight-foot privacy fence to give its clients some, y'know, privacy at what is generally considered by many to be an emotion-fraught time. Dumbass decides it would be a good idea to build a platform on the roof of his car so he can see over the fence and harangue people at seven in the morning and we are supposed to feel bad when one of the objects for his invasive verbal abuse drops his annoying ass on the pavement? Fuck that, he got what was coming to him for 20 years of verbal harrassment. The assailant deserves a medal, not a jail sentence. The court should not condone violence, so I hope they find him guilty and give him an absolute discharge and make the fetus fetishist pay the court costs.
