OK, this is a REALLY, REALLY BAD THING.

All right, so here, we learn that George W. Dumbass is apparently planning a nuclear strike on Iran, whose effect will be, without a doubt, to create millions of fanatical, vengeful suicide bombers. While, over here, we're telling the world just what good buddies we are with our neighbours to the south.

Does anyone else see the potential problem here?

You know Cynic, I was having a nice Sturday, working on my taxes, reading a few blog, now I have this story I'm scared shitless. It really fits Bush mentality and world view.

I was reading the comments over there and one poster asked why we should allow Iran to destory Isreal. I have a better question, why should we save Isreal? Why is that one nation so special? Why should ever other nation in that area be destroyed so Isreal can survive?

Relax. We'll just tell the vengeful suicide bombers that George W. Dumbass has a double & the real George W. Dumbass has gone underground — somewhere in Canada.

Yes, but where in Canada?
I'd say somewhere in Albeta, away from any oil (to remain inconspicuous)

Yes, I agree this is bad. As I said on my blog post about this, the most pathetic yet how frightening sentence in the New Yorker article is this one -- "It's a tough decision. But we made it in Japan"
How dare they think like this? Truman used two nuclear bombs to stop an unprovoked war of agression against the United States, Britain, Canada, Australia, China, and Malaysia, that had already gone on for four years, had killed hundreds of thousands of people and promised to kill hundreds of thousands more -- and even then, the justification for using nuclear weapons has barely passed the world's muster.
So now Bush thinks he wants to go down in history as the first president to authorize using nuclear bombs again -- this time not to end a war but to start one, against a country which hasn't attacked any of its neighbours and doesn't offer any imminent or proveable threat to the United States. That is simply crazy. If -- AND ONY IF -- Iran ever nukes Tel Aviv, then -- AND ONLY THEN -- would there be justification for the US to make war on Iran and use nuclear weapons.
This self-proclaimed "preemptive war doctrine" that the United States thinks it has the right to proclaim unilaterally is against international law, and starting a war for regime change is an international war crime.
