The gorge also rises.
Via commenter "wayne," we find a totally cringe-making example of presidential fellatio that should be read only by those with a strong constitution and who have waited an hour since eating. Apparently, dissidence is suddenly a virtue. Who knew?

Sickening. I only read it halfway down to preserve brain cells.
"He is a man fired by a deep belief in the universal appeal of freedom, its transformative power, and its critical connection to international peace and stability."
If by freedom you mean suspending habeous corpus, spying and eavsdropping on private conversations of American citizens without warrant, lying to congress and the American people, waging pre-emptive war based on those lies, indeterminant arest and detention of prisoners without due process, advocating torture, secret prisons and the persecution of whistle blowers, then yeah he's all about freedom.
If on the otherhand you mean the actual meaning of the words fredom and liberty, then not so much.
Natan Sharansky is a wanker.
Sooooo, Dubya is the only thing standing between us and evil. Dear god....pass the barf bag!
Uh ...
Nepal: U.S. supporting the king against those fighting for democracy and freedom.
Venezuela: U.S. supports opposition (and a coup of) a popular democratically elected president.
Saudi Arabia: U.S. supports a "friendly" dictator.
And on and on go the examples. The word of the day is "hubris"!!
"...Mr. Bush, faced with overwhelming opposition, stands his ideological ground, motivated in large measure by what appears to be a refusal to countenance moral failure": I think most of us would agree that this is not avoiding "moral failure"; it is simply a dangerous inflexibility.
P.S. I am sorry to say I did not follow your advice to wait for at least an hour after eating: puke!
What do you expect from the WSJ in general and Sharansky in particular? "Wingnut fellates president in Wall Street Journal opinion pages" is hardly a "man bites dog" kinda story, is it?
P.S. Did you see this. It is, if anything, even more jaw-dropping:
Phyllis Schlafly’s latest, Does Feminism Control The Bush Administration?, will have you rolling.
Is President George W. Bush a feminist, or is he just a typical gentleman who is intimidated by feminists and unable to cope with their unreasonable demands, tantrums and rudeness? When it comes to public policy and personnel appointments, the result is the same.
