About Hamas accidentally blowing up their own hospital ...

... did it ever strike you as odd that, in every case where Israel claims it was an off-target Hamas rocket, the target always turns out to be a school? Or a hospital? Or a critical water treatment plant? And not, say, a landfill?

No? It never occurred to you?

Idiot.

Given the forensic and surveillance tech available, I suggest waiting until there's an actual analysis performed. At this point, partisans are cherrypicking "evidence" and drawing conclusions that support their ideological bent.

A bit naive there, Anonymous.
The tech is available, but will it be used? The Israelis and/or Americans would only use it in the hands of handpicked experts who would say what they want said. But unless and until Israel manages to push through a successful ground offensive, those handpicked experts ain't getting access. Hamas doesn't have access to the technology in the first place, and nobody would believe anyone they'd be OK with letting in to do the job--the simple fact of being let in would make them suspect.

Meanwhile, the US probably has satellite video showing the entire flight of the missile and making it totally clear who launched it. But they won't release it.

Worth following the BBC's investigation:

Unfortunately, I think this will turn out to be a case of "the truth is lost in the fog of war".

Israel declared war on the "human-animals" in Palestine, and cut off food, water and medicine. Israel ordered the evacuation of the hospitals. Israel has systematically destroyed the infrastructure of Gaza for decades, to include health care. No leader of The West, the beacon of human rights, democracy, dare utter the "A" word (Apartheid).

"The World Health Organization has documented more than 111 attacks on health care services in the occupied Palestinian territory, including 48 attacks on the Gaza Strip which resulted in the death of at least 12 health workers."

"Rocket hits land fill. No casualties." must be a candidate for the most boring headline ever. Quite a high percentage of rockets launched from Gaza go astray, if you look at the statistics.

You clearly have done absolutely no research, so let me do it for you: https://www.politico.com/newsletters/national-security-daily/2023/10/18/u-s-intel-indicates-israel-didnt-bomb-gaza-hospital-00122197 ; https://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/gaza-hospital-bombing-what-know-experts-video-rcna121136 . Note that it is not only the Israeli and U.S. governments who excuse Israel from responsibility for the bombing, but a number of independent analysts.

Sit this one out and let the grown-ups take over from here. You are very much out of your depth.

What I’m surprised by is nobody considering the possibility that whatever went off wasn’t a traditional high explosive device, but possibly a thermobaric weapon. That fits the pattern on several levels:

1). They typically go off before hitting the ground (that would explain the lack of “massive crater”)

2). They are designed to create a massive fireball as they suck up the oxygen in the area - which explains the cars - which were obviously subjected to extreme heat. Those weren’t damaged by the car beside them going up in flames.

3). The “failed rocket” explanation is both overly specific in its details, and lacking in evidence. “Oh, the rocket failed, and spread fuel around, and then the payload exploded” … yeah - that’s _REALLY_ specific, meanwhile those rockets - even when they succeed are notorious for dropping parts everywhere.

… the US has a vested interest in deflecting responsibility from Israel here - both internal and external factors - so you’ll pardon me if I look at the conclusions drawn by their analysts as a bit suspect. Bellingcat released a very cautious analysis that basically ruled out an Israeli high explosive device, but thermobarics are a different class of weapons entirely. ( https://www.bellingcat.com/news/2023/10/18/identifying-possible-crater-from-gaza-hospital-blast/ ).

I think there’s more to this story yet - whether it comes out or not is a matter to be decided in the fog of war.

Years of sad experience have taught me that NOTHING of value will ever be said in a comment that begins "You clearly have done absolutely no research...".

As far as I can tell, that's trollspeak for "I found a twitter feed that agrees with me..."

Lets not forget that Iraq had WMDs, was involved in 9/11 and Saddam was BFFs with bin Laden. So...yeah, we should automatically believe that Hamas accidentally blew up their own hospital.

New: verified Twitter 'OSINT' accounts are destroying the Israel-Palestine information ecosystem. What used to be a network of reliable experts has been taken over by profit and click driven verified accounts. Everyone loses out. "Unprecedented" levels 404media.co/twitter-verified…

Interesting:
"Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Thursday that Canadian officials are still reviewing evidence about the Gaza hospital blast that killed and maimed many Palestinian civilians and he's not prepared to say who's responsible."

Al Jazeera claims to have proved it was not one of the rockets that were flying from Gaza but something from Israel; using video footage.
I dunno, maybe.

Hrm. Well, that kind of does it for me. If there was any realistic chance that it was Hamas, Trudeau would be claiming it was Hamas. If he's being noncommital about who did it, that pretty much means it was clearly Israel but he doesn't want to say that.

More analysis suggests it was an Israeli artillery shell from the NE

About Israel hitting hospitals

Still more research needed:
"There are still questions around heavy thermal damage, a fireball, etc. at the scene that aren't totally resolved with an artillery shell, but it's still interesting crater analysis."
