And so it begins ...

... just as the MAGAts down south are setting their sights on local politics, Take Back Alberta seems intent on contaminating politics across the country.

The Alberta hard right are a bunch of fucking traitors who want to break the Canada Pension Plan and maybe break up the country. So maybe they should just shut the fuck up about how the rest of Canada feels like doing its social arrangements.

Just as a historical note, this is exactly the strategy successfully pursued by the Tea Party in the USA: seek to establish as much influence as possible over local and district school authorities.

Rightwingers have been working on that in Alberta for years, with limited success. I think it was the big idea of the Manning Foundation. They also kept putting up mediocre candidates to get rid of Nenshi but failed each time.

These guys are available for board positions, just don't ask them for legal advice:
"Two Alberta lawyers charged with attempting to obstruct justice have been banned from practising law anywhere in Canada for three years as part of a plea deal with Manitoba prosecutors that saw their charges stayed."

They got off light because white conservative privilege, but at least they got some punishment. I would add boards listing their sins to hang from their necks.
