Oh, look ... wingnut whining:
And if you really want to appreciate the best part, it's not that Arlen Specter switched from the GOP to the Democrats, and it's not that finally seating Al Franken will give the Dems a filibuster-proof 60 seats in the Senate.
No, it's that, while these stories were all over every news outlet on the continent today, Lance had to learn about it from the Drudge Report.
The prosecution rests.
P.S. If you can handle it, you have to check out the screeching, drooling, batshit crazy commenters over there. I like this one:
Let the debt party roll on . . . the USA is in for a huge loss of freedoms, a huge growth in government and a massive increase in debt.
Hoe many people work in Government ?
About half.

Yeah, Fred ... now that Obama's taken over, we will now see a sudden loss of freedom and a massive increase in debt down south.
Seriously, how do these people even remember to breathe?

The really cute thing in that quote is the absolute failure to comprehend the role of the Senate in American governance. Here in Canada, the Senate is a house of sober second thought. Not so in the States, entirely different aminal from our parliamentary democracy. Poor Lance, dumb as a bag of snot.
Wingnuts say the darnedest things:
Were I to take over the GOP or CPC I'd boot the Marxists, replace them with names from the phonebook, and the new motto would be: "Vote like a man for Chrissakes!" We should endeavor to speak like men, too, like we used to 20 and 30 years ago. Let's go back to that higher level of civility we had before the gays and women ruined it.

This is good news for the Gop. Really. As long as they could block the majority at every turn, they only thing the Goppers did was block the majority at every turn. When one of their numbers faltered, the whole Gop faltered. Once the Gop loses its ability to obstruct, individual Goppers will move back into the legislative process. Obama can do his bi-partisan thing.
Wanna talk about want of civility and general nicetitude in Government? Can you top this: http://politicalwire.com/archives/2009/04/29/reid_tweaks_mcconnell_over_specter.html
When your political party stops being sober, its ability to contribute to any sober second thought is also lost.
Gotta love the irony of the right now begging for political welfare.
