Dear Stephen: Let me make sure I understand you.

With regard to the Antonia Zerbisias tempest in a baklava, Blogging Tory co-founder Stephen Taylor gets all cranked up:

There's a difference between whipping someone up in a frenzy (that in turn becomes murder) and calling for murder.

My calling for the elimination of the capital gains tax could set you off in a murderous rage though I would not be responsible. If I said that X should shoot Y, yes, the criminal code covers that.

I have a very simple but significant question for you, Mr Taylor: Do you actually believe that Star columnist Antonia Zerbisias was calling for the murder of Michelle Malkin?

You see, Mr. Taylor, one explanation is that Zerbisias was just going for the funny, and failed. Poor taste, regrettable language, probably worth a short apology and we all move on. Another interpretation is that Zerb really was encouraging the literal murder of Michelle Malkin, which is a different thing entirely.

So which of those do you sincerely believe happened, Stephen? Because as I read it, your comment above describes Zerb's actions as "calling for murder." Is that your interpretation, Stephen? Be honest now -- when one can interpret Zerb's tweet as simply a joke gone bad, are you really accusing her of promoting the literal, physical murder of Michelle Malkin?

I desperately would like to know the answer to that one.

Be honest now...That'll be the day.

Hey, if he stops talking about Zerb, he'll have to form an opinion on the latest Conservative Military Boondoggle-Screw up.

Can't have that now:

Anyone with basic Grade 3 level comprehension skills knows there isn't anything there that 'calls for murder'. I wonder how close that statement in itself is potentially libelous.

Malkin must be bored. Obviously no more 12-year olds to stalk and harass. Maybe she should get together with Dicky boy.

They're having a rough day on their side. Teabagging turned into a national joke. Obama is celebrating his first hundred days on a wave of media, popular, and international approval. They were wrong, and they're going a little bit crazy.

I asked exactly the same question to Dr. Roy, by the way: he really DOES believe it. He says.

Now, this is man licensed to prescribe drugs and poke around in peoples' insides. Food for thought there.

When Dick Cheney actually gets charged with attempted murder for shooting someone in the fucking face, you can go ahead and blame Zerb for calling for the murder of Michelle Malkin.

Till then, go on and shut the fuck up, Taylor.

Zerb should ignore them all now. They are TOTALLY riding her coattails.

It's like Stephen Taylor is Head Goof or something.

It's nice to see that right-wing extremists are thin-skinned no matter what their nationality. Thank you Stephen Taylor, for showing me right-wing asshattery is universal.

And I'm surprised that Michelle Malkin is picking on a grown-up like Antonia; Malkin usually likes her victims between Graeme Frost's age (12), and the ages of the young UC Santa Cruz college students she incited her followers to terrorize a while back.

I wonder if Mr. Taylor has any faux outrage left to spare against what Malkin did to them?

Can we pray to God to please make Malkin die soon?

Can we pray to God to please make Malkin die soon?If it's God's will then that makes it perfectly OK.

I'm stealing that, by the way.

Funny, I left a long comment there asking about boondoggles and usi8ng this to change the channel and somehow it never go through the moderator...hmmm.

Honestly, I do not understand what the hullabaloo is about? I mean what Zerbisias said has been said hundreds of times on The Daily Show and The Colbert Report.

Can we pray to God to please make Malkin die soon?As the good little Catholic that I am, I was brought up to believe that such imprecations are sinful. What we can do is pray for deliverance from evil and let God decide how it happens specifically. If you think about it, these people do eventually get what they deserve...in Malkin's case, being a mean little dunce would be punishment enough. It must be hell on Earth to be an uncomprehending primitve like her.

And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from Malkin.

How's that?

Or perhaps, "Get thee away from me, Malkin!"

It's not supposed to be specific. Kind of a *wink wink* *nudge nudge*. God'll get it.
