Yeah, that's a bit of irony.

Shorter Blogging Tory "Christian Conservative": "Speaking as a diehard, right-wing, small government, less regulation, 'Let The Market Decide', supply-and-demand capitalist, there really should be a law against this."

That's the problem with these loons - it's all about them.

Sure they will tell us how to run our lives and dictate what/where to cut but in the end they all seem to want a handout.
Choice for childcare is really welfare to stay home.
Bank bailouts are corporate welfare.
Mulroney did not take bribes, it was future welfare...

It's only socialism if they don't get a direct benefit...

You are assuming, of course, that I'm a "diehard, right-wing, small government, less regulation, 'Let The Market Decide', supply-and-demand capitalist".

Other than social issues, I'm a lot more of a "Red Tory" than you might think. ;-)

Yeah, that sounds about right, CWTF.

They're against intervention to help the less affluent or less powerful, but all for intervention when it could help them with their airline travel costs or whatever.

It's a greedy, self-centred perspective.

You are a fucking Jesus warrior with you head up your ass dictating how we should all lead our lives...

I think this is just an indirect form of bragging: "Oh, the travails of important people such as myself who have to fly between Toronto and Ottawa and suffer the iniquity of confusing fare policies. Weep for me!"

...;)

I don't know why he doesn't take Via 1 to Ottawa. Nothing beats it; it saves you time and it's way more relaxing. But maybe PerkyJet was cheaper.

i will never have a bad word to say about westjet. when my dad passed away there was a delay in my flight, we had to disembark the plane while they dealt with a technical issue. the terminal staff made a point of seeing that everyone had coffee and a snack and because my ticket was flagged as a compassionate fare, they sought me out and made sure that the family waiting on the other end knew what was up. when i was picked up in victoria, my brother in law (who had kindly arranged all the various flights) told me that they had comped my trip due to the inconvenience.

air canada on the other hand, has stranded me overnight in a strange city with no hotel or assistance of any sort after they made me miss a connection. asshats.

also, westjet = comfie seats, individual entertainment screens and flight staff who don't seem to hate you and their job. win.

I took it once and the flight was two hours late.

The service was good though. But I always get good service because I'm so charming.

Funny. Despite reading Christian Conservative's post carefully, I missed the part where he/she said there should be a law against this kind of pricing.

Instead he/she did exactly what he/she is supposed to do as a good consumer. Bring it to peoples' attention.

But can't let the facts get in the way of a good posting, can we?

rabbit, are you always so literal?

Here, let me give you a hand here, because that's just the sort of person I am.

It's wilful obtuseness related to Rabbit's personality disorder of an as-of-yet unspecified type. The humourlessness is a key symptom as well.

I recommend institutionalisation and observation for a more rigorous diagnosis.

Just kidding. He's/She's just an insufferable prig. A "dick" in common parlance.

Of course rabbit (and other wanks) are that literal. It's what allows them to hear someone hyperbolically say, "Jesus, what an idiot, you need a good slap upside the head," and immediately run shrieking, "OHMIGOD, they're threatening to physically assault people who disagree with them!!!"I refer to it as "going Twatsy."

I know that, CC. Sheesh. Just wanted to take "Let Me Google That For You" out for a spin.

Excuse me for assuming that CC meant what he wrote. I thought he was serious, since otherwise his posting was pretty much pointless.
