You keep using that word "persecution" ...

Only three things in life are certain: death, taxes and the fact that, when frothing wingnuts whine on about examples of terrible, religious persecution, they're almost always misrepresenting the facts horrendously.

Recall from back here how Canada's Batshit-Crazy Catholic Loon™ Suzanne, in the comments section, lets us know that cases involving Scott Brockie, Chris Kempling and the Knights of Columbus prove, dammit, that religious sensibilities in Canada NEED TO BE PROTECTED!

And well you might agree, except that Grog, in a recent comment, points out how, in all of the examples above, there's apparently more than meets the eye. Yes, it turns out that, when the real details are revealed, those so-called examples collapse entirely.

But none of this should come as any surprise, since wankers have a long and glorious history of twisting reality to their advantage, as I demonstrated quite some time ago back here (with some bonus snark thrown in at no extra charge here).

In closing, I believe we can propose the cardinal rule: Whenever one of Canada's wankers is whinging on about persecution, religious or otherwise, just assume they're lying. It saves buckets of time.

BONUS TRACK: And doesn't this answer a whole lotta questions?

COMING SOON: And while we're on the topic of whiny, right-wing victimhood, we'll be dealing with this bit of silliness in the near future. Feel free to read ahead.
