On the one hand, having howled endlessly about coalitions and those evil "separatists" and set themselves up as trustworthy guardians of the public purse, some of Canada's wingnuts don't seem to mind $27,124 of the public's funds going to a Western, separatist magazine. 'Cuz, really, that's just a drop in the bucket, so what's your problem?

On the other hand, even though bonuses to U.S. congressional staffers represent just a drop in the bucket compared to AIG bonuses, you should all be outraged because, you know, it's not the amount, it's the principle of the thing. Or whatever reasoning let's the first one be right and the second one wrong.
