I would like to see more comparisons to Franco. Western powers tolerated him even though he rounded up his enemies (tortured, expelled, caged or executed them), could not abide by secularism, dictated the moral comportment of citizens, controlled the media, maintained the severe fractures in the country, encouraged young fascists to beat up non-supporters, little economic development and only measures introduced favoured his close corporate friends, etc.

In other words both Harper and Hitler suffer inferiority complexes where they compensate for their feelings of inadequacy by bullying.
