Once upon a time, there was a batshit-crazy loon who took exception with the federal funding going to the Status of Women Canada because, according to the aforementioned loon, it was absolutely outrageous that public funds were being used to support a radical, divisive, ideologically-driven agenda that clearly did not represent all Canadians.
Um ... OK:
The Conservative government is planning measures, including a Defence of Religions Act, to allow public officials, such as Justices of the Peace, to refuse to perform same-sex marriages.
So, if I read this correctly, the CPoC is proposing to implement, using public funds, a radical, divisive, ideologically-driven agenda that clearly does not represent all Canadians.
There had better be some bourbon in the house somewhere.

Ah but they might argue you can't compare the two because one is a department, and the other just a bit of legislation. It's like apples and oranges.
And I'm in no way poking fun at the gay-bashing-is-ok-if-you're-cristian bill by comparing it to fruit.
