Is anyone checking whether vehicles STAY with the convoy?

It's depressing that anyone needs to mention this but, while there are impressive videos and pictures of the Dumbass Truckers Convoy leaving various towns and cities (allegedly on their way to Ottawa), it's worth pointing out that, with respect to 2019's similarly idiotic and pointless "United We Roll" convoy, it was common knowledge that, at various congregation and departure points, the assemblage was padded substantially with pickup trucks and private cars, many of whom would simply accompany the convoy until it was safely out of town, whereupon many of those vehicles (even some of the big rigs) would quietly peel off and head home.

So, MSM, if you're going to publish coverage of how impressive all this looks at the start, can you at least keep tabs on how many of those vehicles stick with the convoy? Is that too much to ask?
